thinking of you. i have autism (obviously everyone with autism acts and feels different) but i can imagine how hard that must have been for your son with how overwhelming and vulnerable he must have felt. if your daughter was also with your wife i hope she is ok too as shes really little too. i do keep checking to see if youve uploaded but thats just because i hope things can turn a corner for your family soon and you are feeling better. your family is so lucky to have you. im sure you must have felt helpless not having been there in that situation. me and all your patreons will be here for you when you are able. wishing your wife and son in particular all the strength.

Not good mate. She has had a great innings at 86. Seen alot come and go. At least she can have some more time here with you and hopefully pain free.

Thanks, it's stage 4 lung cancer and she began chemo back in 2019. She's 86, so chemo is hard on her (as it is everyone that has to do it). But her most recent report is very positive with the chemo making the cancer shrink in some spots, and remain stable in others. With the strokes, I caught them very early and the doctors were able to reverse them so that no 'devastating' sort of effects were permanent.

Kevin, stay strong. It wont get better, but let yourself enjoy as much time as you can with your mother while she is still with you. Hold her hand and kiss it. Remind her that she will be loved here and gone from you.

I am always on alert. Just never tried to make my family worry, but I am always ready to get down if someone enters my home. The reason why my family always feels safe, just now they did not due to something out of my control.

Not to sound like an 'alarmist', but for you (no need to worry the kids), stay on the alert. Copies of keys can be made. At the very least, I'd look into re-keying or changing the locks, if you haven't already. Of course family always comes first in all things, even above yourself. My reactions have had to take a back seat for a while as I'm taking care of my elderly mother who has lung cancer and has had several strokes. I record and edit (the hardest part of it all), when it's possible and hope that everyone understands (which they have).

Every little noise in the night was a nightmare for my son. He would yell and scream loud. He has Autism so his imagination was going crazy.
