Dev Log: Update Information and Schedule

Hey all. So here we are: the fateful month of July. I wanted to drop a note at the beginning of the month here and try to just generally oriented people on what my plan is to finish this thing up and get it on your screens. Those of you that have been around here for awhile know that I don't usually like to put dates on things. Today I'm going to generally avoid doing that but I am going to try and give you an idea so let me bounce around on a few different topics for this month and if you have any other questions, you can post them at the bottom and we'll go from there.
Release Date
So if you missed the post before, I plan to release v0.021 this month. This will end the story. After this update, I will formally submit a plan for my revamp and what I want to focus on so we'll see that later.
Right now I'm shooting for sometime around the middle of July although, things aren't terrible right now so it could be a few days earlier but let's just pretend like I didn't say that part. That's more me trying to be optimistic.
What's Left?
Writing is done and it feels pretty good . I'm working on the remaining CGs for the final scene right now including the final shots in the game. I'm actually doing a bit more research on these shots because I'm trying to learn a few more techniques in this version of the game that I can better develop and practice using in the revamp. Good news is that I don't have that many shots left-- bad news is that I don't know what I'm doing but I'm optimistic so we'll see. I think I have around 15 lines of code left that need images so it's not much at all and a good opportunity to mess with some stuff.
For anyone that is concerned that I'm trying to do something that will delay the game release, this shouldn't effect things. My plan right now is to hopefully have all the CGs done by the end of this weekend. I tweeted about this earlier but basically, if I get the images done early, I'm going to take a day off-- if not, then I'll keep working. So I've figured in some insurance into messing around with these final scenes so that they won't effect my goals and the schedule I have in my head.
Next week, I'd like to be coding images around Monday/Tuesday. However, I may have something personal come up Tuesday. Either way, I really want to have the game bootable and begin actually seeing things by Wednesday (hoping before but we'll see). From there, it usually takes me a full day to get through the update the first time and correct bugs and stuff. I plan to spend a few days on it, read, let it sit, read, let it sit, then kick it over to Blayke as soon as I don't hate it so he can get eyes on it. From there, I just implement feedback until I feel like it's ready. I plan to sit outside with a tablet and sorta relax while i do it so I may be a bit spotty on Discord during that time.
Again, I'll probably tweet some progress out on this here so if you want up-to-the-minute updates, follow me here or just check it randomly if you're avoiding social media because your country is on fire like mine is.
Release Schedule Updates and Changes
I plan to try and use my Twitter account to keep people updated on the process. I know people subscribe over here but Patreon alerts for petty updates can sorta be annoying to some people. Because of that, I usually try and collect quite a bit of information for official Patreon posts and leave the little things to Twitter or casual conversation on the Discord.
Any last minute changes to the update schedule will probably go out through Twitter/Discord. I will be posting here again before the update to remind people of downloading etiquette and try to help ease the pain with that a bit the day of the release. That post will also likely have the official release date on it as part of that schedule.
Teaser Video
Also, if you havent' seen the teaser video that Blayke made, it's available for the $20 folks here and well worth the myriad emotions that go into it. Please only donate at that tier if you're able to. Rest assured, the video will gradually be dropping down to the lower tiers as we approach release.
Upcoming July Posts
So right now, I don't have any selfie content planned for July because the priority is the game update. After that drops, if there's time I may make some stuff but we'll see. I'd really like to do Braden first but I'd like to go overboard with that like I did the Cody shots so that may start next month.
Ok, last thing here and I'm honestly kinda excited but stupidly nervous to share this part. Please stay tuned for a few extra posts in the coming days before the release. These will be free, public posts for everyone to see similar to this Dedication page. It'll also hopefully help set the mood for this last update.

Iām going to choose my words carefully here. I think the ending is very organic and I think the ending reflects the story that I set out to tell from the very beginning whether you realize it or agree with it or not. The thing to remember is this is no longer our story, itās theresā and at this point in the story, we no longer have control. We our bystanders. All of us. And I think admitting that we are powerless over situations that we are invested in is a massive lesson in this story.

Take all the time you need. This coming out story is so important to (I guess) all of us. I want the story to develop organically and along the characters story arcs, I look forward (with some sadness) to the final chapter in this story.
