🕑 Added 2020-01-03 17:39:41 +0000 UTCHey everyone! First dev update in 2020! Sadly, I’ve been horribly unproductive this week. Between the NY party and some health issues playing up again, I’ve been distracted at best, and haven’t worked at all for a couple of days. The environments are done, the writing for the update is mostly done, but I still only have a couple of test renders, have to actually pose and capture all the scenes. I should be able to get it done next week, but I’m very hesitant to give you a concrete date as I may want to add more stuff to the update. Anyway, here’s some of the aforementioned test renders:

I really, really hope that I'll be able to release it before next week, but it will be on weekend at best. Still keep hitting issues, wrestling with a new scheduling mechanic right now. Will expand on that in tomorrow's dev update.

There is an option to use skin shader with SSS, but it doesn't work with dynamic global illumination and doesn't really improve anything much, in my opinion. I generally avoid this kind of lighting at all, and those are test renders, I may have another go at those.

Definitely looking forward to meeting her, she's really pretty. The lighting there really emphasises how HS's SSS shader, if it has one, is severely lacking though.
