Throw up another pole for the discarded girls and the new girls you have in mind see where it goes. Also the old discarded ones for new patrions

Zanith

I do, it's not the direction that causes problem, it's the actual "writing things" stuff. That, and needing to do 3d things, not even renders, necessarily, but also prep work, like planning and assembling environments, etc.

Magnus

Do you ever visit the theories Channel on your discord to break your slump, or help you go a direction

Zanith

Yup, there was a bug, fixed version is uploaded, and links are updated in the alpha post.

Zanith

You're playing 0.4.5 alpha, right?

Gray

There seems to be a bug with starting a new game and being unable to progress passed day 2. Starting from the start of the day you can't find Rae anywhere, so the only option is to wait or interact with the fridge at which point she appears on the couch. You can choose to watch tv with her or have a quickie, then she moves to the attic where you can talk to her or have her serve you again, and then it moves you to your bedroom and doesn't allow you to sleep or leave the room.

Magnus

Better show us what didn't make the cut before you decide weather or not it's worthy

I really like the game, but it seems I have come to its end (if I can help with the render, but not see the result ... since I want to see this in the game, I will be happy to help.

Zanith

Yes, either late today if I can stay awake long enough to finish all the renders and packaging, or sometime before afternoon tomorrow.

Chet Congo

Any chance we'll see the update soon?

Wild Bill

I can't see how trying to add new characters on after the fact could be anything other than an absolute nightmare.

Zengee

I say add the two and note the rest of your ideas for other games. Or make a sequel later down the road. with the characters that didn't get used in this game. A lot of games get overburdened by having a lot of different characters. Many of them end up being lame cause you can't develop good story with that many characters without a lot of time.

Dion Starfire

I'd vote for a small cast with all the trimmings (i.e. rich story, NPC's relating to each other, only a couple updates before each character gets more screen time, etc.). As for the other characters, you could always follow the big publishers lead and release them afterwards as an add-on module or extra story in the same world (aka DLC). ... And taking a couple of weeks off from the project to recharge yourself is no problem. That's the minimum standard in every other industry why should it change just because you're working for yourself? And if you do it in the next month or so, you'll have a lull right when other projects are publishing major updates, so your fans won't be left hungry.

It's not good getting stressed out if you need a break from everything just take it whether it be a 2 weeks or a month and i just want to say i love this game

The honesty in this post says a lot about you. Its great and its appreciated. Everyone needs a break sometimes. Take it as you need it. We are here giving you loney cause we love the game and as long as YOU love the game, it will only get better.

Personally, the game already feels well balanced, story wise. I get that adding more story before adding extra girls will be difficult, especially if you want to keep it all synchronized, but right now you're in a good spot. Adding the (2/3) extra girls in a rush might not necessarily be the best move, and you can always add them in later in the story. They don't need to be a part of every part of it, and can just join later in. In my opinion the MC getting stronger at his skills, and therefore being able to reach more of the girls, is a solid way to introduce them one by one. You could always simply bar the events from triggering until the MC sleeps/dreams, even if you would then force it on the player. Anyhow, I'll be looking forward to the next update, and maybe the writer contest as well, who knows. :p Keep up the good work!

Hey man, take all the time to rest you need! We will always prefer a finished game that you loved making than whatever mess you create if you end up hating what you do. Maybe it will help if you can (almost completely) outsource your writing to other people, if it seems like that's your least favourite part of the job. Anyways if you keep us up to date, both the good and bad stuff you will have support. Good luck!
