This week we were busy finishing the v0.5.9 Beta. The new Bunny Lounge scene featuring Annie is in, and it’s really fun! Have a peek:
The build should be out before the end of tomorrow, and those of you who haven’t played the alpha yet can look forward to cozy times with Cait! And those of you who did play it, you can look forward to numerous fixes and corrections 🙃
I’ll talk more about the upcoming stuff in the next week’s dev update, but for now a quick rundown of things you can expect.
First of all, the Very Important Poll will go live soon. Yes, it’s about the sixth main cast character. Or it could be about the cast remaining at five characters. There would be options. You’ll see.
Rae’s story push is next on our schedule, but we need to prepare another batch of environments for it, so it’s not going to be finished in one update either.
I really want to set aside some time to do a few big UI/QOL updates, too. And the “girls initiating sexy times” mechanic is overdue as well. Maybe we’ll do another update focusing on the side scenes and minor additions to the routes, but we’ll see.

One thing that would be nice is having the dream selector work as a toggle like we talked about a while back. Should be pretty easy to do, all it should need is changing the dream screen to toggle the flags instead of just setting them and removing the unsetting from the dream scenes themselves. That and an indicator on the icons to show the state.

Oh right, you mentioned that before, yes. I still don't see it, I think the way it's organised now is the best I've seen. Most adult games don't even *have* quest logs, and those that do are usually much more of a mess. Cramming everything together in one place rather than being organised by girls, not having ways to filter completed quests, etc...

The quest log update is the big one. Love app hints are easily missed and some folks think that the "main" story content and a couple of extra activities is all there is to the game. I also want to redo the generic dialogue options a bit, add a skip option to all the "cutscenes", redo the sleep event logic, maybe enable sleeping at any time of the day, etc, etc.

Also I'm curious exactly what kind of UI upgrades you think you need? The UI seems good to me, and I've been gaming for close to thirty years so I ought to have *some* idea what I'm talking about.
