Yeah Kakashi takes a Quick run back to the Village or sends the Dogs to get orders from the Old Man. An the old man is likely to see this as the perfect training Opportunity for the rookies but also send strength to back them because this could pay off big for the Village. He is either sending an Anbu squad to back the team or both Team Asuma & Kuernai with 3 Jonin and 9 Genin should cover everything an teach the Rookies how high level missions with multiple objectives works an High Level Ninja combat.

First combat mission he was bound to spiral a bit. Training safe in a village and going out into a situation where you know extremely dangerous people are going to try to kill you are very different things. But im glad you liked the fighting lmao.

First part of the chapter tanked his protagonist points way down -8 but he made up for some of it with the action. He had plenty of time to freak out and adjust when he first got to the world. It is what it is though. I still vote he loot Gato though. Can never have to much money.
