Most of you figured that the Speaker was on her way to board the infamous Titanic... but User_Unknown found a few more references and is the winner of this challenge. They will get to have one of their ideas picked for a script! (Please do send me a private message to let me know what you're thinking 😉 you can send me up to 3 ideas and I will pick one!)
Here is the full list:
References to the Titanic (which departed at noon in 1912 from Southampton)
“I shall not arrive in Southampton until after noon, and by then it will be too late”
References to Jack and Rose (from Titanic, the movie)

Well, sue me, but I couldn’t have guessed the other references even if they were highlighted right in front of my eyes! I struggle to understand even when someone says something outright, let alone when they’re dropping hints. 😂 I think this is a sign to rewatch Titanic, the last time I watched it was years ago, and I was half-asleep through most of it. Congratulations, User_unknown—you definitely did your homework. 🤗

Ooh, congratulations to user_unknown on winning the EE hunt! Seeing all the answers, I probably would have gotten maybe one of these. I'm terrible with history and have also actually never watched the Titanic in its totality. 👀 P.S. Even though it's fiction, it's a bit tragic knowing that it was the Titanic that our characters boarded. o7
