By the time you’ve scattered the contents of two packs of cigarettes into the ashtray, she still can’t easily decide whether you are a Nexus-6 who recently escaped from one of the Off-world colonies and infiltrated human society, or just an ordinary day laborer living in the suburbs of L.A. Your breathing and pulse grow rapid, and your iris responses become increasingly unstable. You begin to suspect that these series of physiological reactions might not be just the tension caused by an unusually prolonged interview. And you’re not the only one thinking so. Hello, Jade!
