I want to start implementing them into beta this weekend and get them ready for the next major update the week after.
So does anyone have any thoughts on achievements.
I am not the kind of person that worries or cares about achievements when I play games so not even sure what people look for in achievements.
Kind of want to base them around options that alter the game play/story, but also know that steam won't allow anything "adult" in the achievements, so kind of want to make them a little humorous..
So thoughts?

They are earned without really doing much plus the popup breaks the immersion. I would rather enjoy things than be disrupted.

Personally, I completely ignore achievements in computer games and don't even look at them. I see them mostly as a manipulation technique, and although there are good uses for them, they are often abused. Anyhow, I know a lot of players love them, thus whatever floats your boat.
