I was also afraid of showing up for school in costume when no one else did. In 6th grade, I actually arrived in costume and saw almost no one else wearing one, so I quickly took it off, just a scientists coat and left it in my mom's car.

the Nancy, Steve Drink Spill scene, where everyone stopped and starred. was totally believable to me. this is a time, where if you were there and witnessed it, you can embellish and gossip your own agenda and it goes from there.. maybe you're just too used to our transparent society, we're in rn.
