Unfortunately the last 20 minutes of my reaction got screwed up and I had to film it again. I am SO sorry about that. But, it was really fun to rewatch the stunts. They were incredibly coordinated. I hope you are all having the most wonderful time preparing for the holidays.

Well sorry to tell you this Jax but her pronunciation of "Les incompétents" is flawless 🤣. On the opposite all the actors/actresses speaking French in the airport are actually not French at all (I think) cause their French sounds quite strange. I'm french by the way 🤣. Always love this movie. The second one's just as good, IMO. You had some general questions while watching the movie. I'll preface my responses by saying I live about an hour and a half north of where the film takes place, so we get the same weather. Do we really salt sidewalks during the winter? Yep. It gets ICY. Sidewalks, driveways, roads. The image in the linked story shows just what was left of the salt reserve after a particularly stormy winter. It was multiple times larger before winter started. https://www.usgs.gov/media/images/road-salt-storage-jones-island-milwaukee-wi How close must they live to the airport to make their flight in 45 minutes? Really darn close. I'm tempted to say there's no such thing as living close enough to the airport to be able to go from driveway to airport terminal in 45 minutes (even before 2001) considering they’re flying out of Chicago's O’Hare airport. It’s always been notorious for taking forever to get to. I’ve seen the exit ramp for O'Hare backed up by half a mile or more at times, and those were just normal days, not Christmas Eve. How can they leave the gingerbread house out and not have ants? Ants go dormant in the winter around here, so unless you’re unlucky enough to have a colony that somehow made its home in your walls, you don’t have to worry about ants in the winter. Fun movie fact. The filmmakers knew how horrible it would be for a girl to have the role of and be known as “Buzz’s ugly gf from Home Alone”, so the picture of Buzz’s girlfriend was actually Buzz dressed like a girl and wearing a wig. Now I have a question…I didn’t see or hear any mention of a family dog. Why do the McCallisters have a doggie door? Even if it was there when they bought the house, you'd think they'd have replaced the door if they don't have a dog.

Oh what a wonderful surprise! The soundtrack for this film is one I can put on whenever I'm feeling like the Grinch, and it instantly gets me in the Christmas mood.
