Atlan Forge Price Adjustments
🕑 Added 2024-10-04 16:44:27 +0000 UTCHello folks, the time has come for us to adjust our prices as well, to match the increase of MyMiniFactory fees and already high Patreon fees, along with the general increase of prices in everything else. The adjustment will be as slight as we can make it for our Standard Subscribers, while it will be a little bit more of a raise for Merchants (although still a bargain, we feel, for what we offer).
For our Subscribers (both on Patreon and Tribes): From November 1st onwards, the price of subscription will be 11$ (+VAT) per month for the Standard Tier. The previous Early Bird Tiers on Patreon will also have a price increase of +1$ (+VAT).
For our Merchants: From November 1st onwards, the price of the Standard Merchant Tier subscription license will be 70$ (+VAT) per month. We will be shutting down the Early Merchant Tier so those of you who are subscribed to it, please switch to the Standard Merchant Tier. With 200 releases to offer to folks around the world, each one of a kind and highly detailed, we think we're well worth the price, and hope you agree as well.
We hope you appreciate us not raising our prices for almost 4 years, and that you understand why we must do it now.
The Future of Atlan Forge
You can of course expect us to keep making original and cool looking models for you, done with love for the mythos and history behind them and with that special Atlan flavor, improving all the time as we go. Also, there are some awesome projects we're working on we think you'll like. First of all, an extensive and unique Atlan War Game system is in the works, and now in the testing phase. It will include stats all of the models we’ve released so far. Secondly, we're working on two Board games, one Epic and the other one an RPG system type game, taking place in the grimdark Atlan universe. And last but not least, we're soon re-starting our short stories - expanding our lore in the Atlan Chronicles.

The rules for the War Game system will be made by the team and me, it will be our first official game although between us, we have plenty experience in making and modifying games. We also intend to get the community involved once it's in the final phases, in order to perfect it as much as possible. The idea is to fix all the usual problems current War Game systems suffer from, like removing first player advantage, fixing endless re-rolls, improve upon battle realism, reduce the rules clutter to increase the focus on tactics (while keeping the complexity), include the AI as a player option, etc. After that, involve as much mental power as we can (the more minds the better) into streamlining it.

I appreciate hearing your opinion, but maybe see the system before you knock it. For example, it may just be something we do know a bit about;) Like you said though, best to wait and see.

I understand the reasoning behind the price increase, but it moves you into a higher bracket for creators, from my perspective. I don't care for a game system made by AF - kinda 'stick to what you know' feeling here. We'll just have to wait and see.

As far as I'm aware, Patreon only allows creators to increase the cost for future subscribers to a tier. Current subscribers are grandfathered in at their current price. I hope you realize this, as the last creator I subscribed to who tried to increase the price on current subs, lost subs due to his response to learning this information.

Oh, it's something we're really into:) A lot has been done already already. it's akin to OPR, but it's own thing, with brand new mechanics that solve many of the problems the other systems have. Looking forward to show it to you, after we do the proper testing.
