A failed strategy

Anyway, to the point, I thought of doing regular un-edited updates on the Youtube channel, like a quick update every 2 or 3 days, it's very easy to do and I thought it would give a feeling of more involvement to the process of the build but it seems to have had a really negative effect on viewership. The latest video crawled in with just over 1K views. That level of interest is what the channel had almost 2 years ago when there was just around 4K subscribers. So I'm going back to 1 long video every few weeks and hope the views increase back to 10K or 50K.

Interesting suggestion. I think trying to livestream something without a crew would be pretty disruptive to his process. I’ll also bet there’s a lot of time spent just thinking and then painstaking cutting, which probably wouldn’t be interesting to most people. Might be fun to watch him talking to himself, though. ;^)

Yeah, I think shorts are failed strategy except in very few cases.

I agree if you feel it's not working try some different approach. Have you ever thought about testing to see if live streaming say an hour of your build as just a one off to begin with might solicit a decent response ?
