Chapter 565 - Chen Shi

Chen Shi was completely stupefied. He didn't expect this at all.
No, rather, this was a completely impossible situation. 'Those' chains were unbreakable; even if a Sage tried to break them, they would suffer a fatal backlash.
It was simply inconceivable for a lowly Fox to be able to go against it.
"I don't think he will snap out of it any time soon." Chen Yanqi sighed.
"If you don't mind staying over?" Chen Yanqi smiled gently at Aiko.
"We don't mind. This is not the only thing I would like to accomplish." Moon Aiko said gracefully.
'So different.' Chen Yanqi was confused how Aiko could change so much by just switching colours.
"What do you have in mind?" Chen Yanqi gestured to Aiko to follow her.
"I want some materials that can affect Ghosts. I would like to get re-evaluation, maybe get some more materials, visit the 'temple' and-" Moon Aiko kept going with a single breath, startling Yanqi.
"Wait, hold on." Chen Yanqi chuckled. "It's too much to accomplish. If you can wait a bit, we will have a re-evaluation soon."
"Does it have to be public?" Moon Aiko clicked her tongue.
"Unfortunately." Chen Yanqi sighed. "Those old bastards won't move until they are bribed by big Sects." She also struggled with them, since Chen Shi was too frail right now.
"How about-" Moon Aiko wanted to 'educate' them, but Yanqi pinched her cheek.
"Don't even think about it. This place is barely holding on, so until Chen Shi recovers-" Chen Yanqi shook her head, when an explosion behind her happened.
"Elder Zhou, you must be joking." An overbearing, yet familiar voice spoke.
"So what if you are a Rune Cultivator-" Elder Zhou shouted, but...
"A pity." Chen Shi drew the Void Rune, obliterating Elder Zhou.
"Does any other Elder want to oppose me?" The pressure was a magnitude higher than what Aiko was used to, and even she had to bow her head under that pressure.
"None?" Chen Shi narrowed his eyes.
Slap
A large wolf slapped him out of the sky like a fly.
"Oi, you bastard! We are here too! Get a grip!" Witch Aiko shouted.
Chen Shi snapped back. "What? I'm just retrieving the Treasures that we need!"
"Oh yeah?! You are now so shit and stale that you can't even control your Divine Pressure, huh?" Witch Aiko barked at him back.
"So what?!" Chen Shi yelled at her.
They all breathed with some difficulty from the shouting. It was obvious that both of them were worked up about this.
Chen Yanqi giggled. "Welcome back."
Chen Shi awkwardly rubbed his head. He didn't know what to say or do.
He was a pathetic guy who jumped into her embrace when he was feeling down, but now he wanted to pursue Liu Zhi again...
"Anyway." Chen Yanqi snorted at him. "You should retrieve those Treasures quicker, I want to hug Yue again~!" She hummed.
"That-" Chen Shi's eyes widened. How could she use her true name like that?
"Don't bother me." Yue woke up from her slumber temporarily. "Aiko is causing even more disaster, and I'm overwhelmed with energy. Go bicker somewhere else."
Chen Yanqi was startled. "Yue..."
"Sleepy." Yue shooed them away as she went back into the lamp.
"She is doing well." Moon Aiko nodded her head.
"We are going to sleep, since the journey was long and tiresome." Moon Aiko disregarded Chen Shi until he got a grip.
Chen Yanqi sighed. "I will guide you." She then glanced at Chen Shi. 'Dear, you should rest or retrieve the Treasures, but rest is more important. Those old bastards are trying to rule over this place, and you need energy to deal with them.'
'Sorry...' Chen Shi answered back telepathically. He was not in his best form, which also allowed Aiko to strike him so easily.
But that doesn't mean he doesn't have tricks up his sleeve.
'Heavenly Suppression Array.' Chen Shi chanted, and the whole Inscription Association went into lockdown.
Nobody was able to use Pills, Runes, or any Treasures until he recovered.
That way, he will prevent them from running away with the Treasures, or just prevent them completely from exploiting his current weakness!

Chen Yanqi guided Aiko and Danji to their room.
"You don't mind one room, right?" Chen Yanqi was probing them, but...
"Sure." Moon Aiko didn't mind at all, since she would just rest and then play with illusions to make the special Treasure that would help Danji later.
"Uh..." Chen Yanqi didn't know what to say.
"We won't bother you any more." Danji bowed and closed the doors behind her.
Chen Yanqi was stupefied. "There is no way Aiko already reached that point, right?" She didn't believe that innocent Fox would be like that.
"Mistress." Danji smiled.
"Yes?" Moon Aiko removed a few layers before getting into bed.
"Do you plan to use the materials to torture that 'Soul' later?" Danji narrowed her eyes.
"No." Moon Aiko replied shortly, confusing Danji.
"That's your job. You need to relieve those grievances that you have with it." Moon Aiko wouldn't step between Danji's revenge target. "I will just provide tools, so that you can do this well."
"Oh..." Danji... didn't expect that at all. She believed that Aiko would torture that Soul in her stead, but this-
"Thank you." Danji smiled. If she could torture that bastard, then her mind would be at peace.
"Don't mention it." Moon Aiko shook a hand before her face. She then yawned gently.
"I'm too tired, so get in and sleep." Moon Aiko shuffled to the side before closing her eyes. Her tails wrap around her to keep her warm.
Danji sneaked into the bed and hugged Aiko. 'So cold?' She was not a fan of this coldness, but she would be more than happy to warm Aiko up.

"How are you feeling now, dear?" Chen Yanqi smiled at Chen Shi.
"Better... I suppose." Chen Shi awkwardly ruffled her hair.
"Good. It's better if you are awkward like this, than indulgent like 'that'." She narrowed her eyes at him.
Chen Shi coughed awkwardly. "W-well-"
"What~? You want me to cuddle you again~?" Chen Yanqi teased him. "But I will have to warn you, if you want to cuddle me, I will cuddle Yue later~!" She giggled happily. Her plan was always to bed both Chen Shi and Liu Zhi, or rather Yue.
She was able to visit the Immortal World one time with her family and saw the Empress.
All mighty and domineering, with unparalleled beauty. Fang Yue was her name, and she ruled over the expansive Immortal Land.
However, she, for some reason, later fell into the Mortal World, making Chen Yanqi exceptionally happy... until she found out that Yue was cursed.
Nobody was allowed to mutter her name, lest her Soul would be tortured again.
This place didn't have a Sage overseeing it, so she was safe for the time being...
"You..." Chen Shi sighed. Right, that's what she was always like. A doting mother who didn't mind his position.
"What? Do you regret ravishing me in the Secret Realm?" Chen Yanqi sat on his lap.
"No." Chen Shi said firmly. Even if they were under the heavy aphrodisiac, he was still 'guilty' of this. It was only natural for him to take responsibility... no matter how clumsy he was.
"Good. You can keep going, and don't forget to give Yue a child, too. She will be happy." Chen Yanqi smiled happily.
Chen Shi choked again. He couldn't believe his ears.
"Alright, alright. That's enough teasing." Chen Shi shook his head as he lifted her by supporting his legs.
Gently placing her down on the floor, he moved towards the bed. "I will rest before sorting this place out." He was... tired.
But for the first time in a long time, he saw hope on the horizon.
"I was not teasing." Chen Yanqi pouted before running out.
Chen Shi was flabbergasted, but didn't try to chase her. It will be rough days ahead, so he needed this rest...

Moon Aiko slept throughout the night with a warm embrace.
In the morning, she didn't leave Danji's embrace because it was warm.
'The Moon is cold, affecting my physique. The Sun is powerful, but due to the hollowness of the Moon, not enough heat is getting inside.' Moon Aiko sighed. She would have to deal with this later.
"Mistress?" Danji woke up, seeing Aiko staring at her, making her blush quite a bit.
She was like a little Foxie nestled in a gentle embrace.
Her big eyes and cute expression greatly concerned the vulnerable Blood Fox.
Moon Aiko kept staring at her, and she wondered why Danji was blushing.
"Yeah?" Moon Aiko finally responded.
"Why haven't you woken me up?" Danji asked with a somewhat quivering voice.
"Because you look cute, and you also need rest. Your Soul is not healed completely, so you will accompany Lady Liu in her recovery." Moon Aiko said seriously.
"Okay." Danji was happy about the first part, but she didn't really like this overly serious Aiko.
The more goofy and carefree Aiko, with a hint of seductiveness, was more of her style.
"Good." Moon Aiko happily nodded her head before moving her body.
Danji gulped nervously.
While it was true that she loved the ravishing dark Aiko, but this cold, yet mesmerising Aiko was also not too bad.
'No wonder Mei always dreamed about this, Aiko.' Danji nodded her head.
Every person had their own preferences, and Foxes were no different.
Most Foxes loved well-chiselled abs, since it was a joy to touch them, while the other group loved a smaller woman, because they were cute.
But not too small, there was a limit to how small they were allowed to be.
Moon Aiko stretched her tired body. It was almost time for her to start making those illusions.
"What is on today's agenda?" Danji smiled as she hugged Aiko's waist.
Aiko was sitting, so the position was a bit awkward. "Illusions for poles and other tools that will be used on 'it'." She replied swiftly, hoping that Danji would let her go.
"So you don't mind if I do your tails?" Danji flashed a teasing smile.
"I don't really mind." Moon Aiko didn't mind since she still had a lot to do.
"Good~" Danji hummed happily.

Thanks for the chapter. It doesn’t feel right you say… my guess is would be either the treasure part or maybe not enough Aiko shenanigans? That’s only thing I could think of. But it is still all right in my eyes.

So, here's the deal guys. I have rewritten this chapter 3 times now and I'm a bit tired of it, but it still doesn't feel right. > I agree that something about it doesn’t feel perfect but there’s also nothing wrong and I have no idea what could be improved. I’d say 9/10 and we’re all just used to your work being 11/10. Basically this is still fine and you’re just worrying too much. You can always come back later if it’s still a concern but I think you’re overthinking it. Love your writing as usual. :) Thanks for the chapter~!
