Chapter 566 - Their pastime

Sure, the Blood Fox now had a name and seemed alright, but that didn't mean everything was solved.
"The Elders are trying to fortify their place." Dai Lu reported to Mei.
"As expected." Mei nodded her head. Thanks to all the bullshit that the Elders caused, the Delegation was running around putting out the fires.
This was also a nice benefit of leaving them alone and no longer spying on them.
"The Pills are finished, but we will have to wait once they all group together." Mei nodded her head.
"That extremely itchy and irritating Pill will be distracting enough for us to strike them, but with Aiko around, it will definitely turn into a chaotic mess." Dai Lu shook her head.
"Isn't that perfect?" Mei chuckled. "The bigger the mess, the less trouble we will get from the Delegation."
She then proceeded to shake her head. "Those bastards believe that they will be able to take away the Elders after they have calmed down the situation, but they are very mistaken."
"True, once we strike, there will be none living." Dai Lu chuckled darkly.
"How are the other girls doing?" Mei narrowed her eyes.
"They..."

Yuxi parried Wanshu's strike and retaliated with a kick.
Wanshu tilted her body, barely avoiding that kick, and used that momentum to slash at Yuxi.
Yuxi took a step back, avoiding that slash completely.
"Better." Wanshu breathed out.
"Much better." Yuxi smiled.
They were now trying to combine the [Gale Steps] with [Illusionary Steps], but it required quite a bit of energy and finesse.
"I think we will be the only ones without a Human Body." Wanshu threw needles at Yuxi.
"Don't forget Aiko." Yuxi caught one needle, sending it back, while also parrying the rest.
"True, but Aiko will definitely figure something out." Wanshu narrowed her eyes.
"Possibly." Yuxi tried to drop-kick Wanshu, but she just stepped back and caught her in a princess carry.
"Don't leave such a big opening." Wanshu gently scolded her partner.
"I knew you would catch me." Yuxi shrugged.
"Mean." Wanshu pouted, carrying her partner away.

Yanyan came over. "How do you feel, Yueying?"
Yueying breathed out. Her body was a lot more stable than before.
"Better, much better." Yueying smiled. Her two hearts were beating, one weakly while the other strongly.
The weak heart was slowly recovering thanks to the strong heart, while the strong heart kept beating its own path.
"Any abnormalities?" Yanyan asked gently.
"No." Yueying said expressionlessly. She was still a girl and would always be a girl!
"Good." Yanyan smiled happily. "Your Grandpa is inviting you to a feast for being able to recover and maintain your frail heart."
"It's all thanks to the powerful heart that my weak heart can recover." Yueying smiled gently. "I will be there soon."
"Okay." Yanyan skipped a few steps since she was looking forward to that delicious meal.
Yueying sighed once Yanyan was away. She did read some strange things about two hearts, but she never imagined she would 'grow' 'things' on her body.
It greatly troubled her, but fortunately, she was able to hide them like she would hide her scales.
She was also able to practise from her Cultivation Manual, allowing even greater control over her body.
Yueying was now able to hide her horns, tails and even scales on her face.
The only thing she was still unable to hide was her eyes, but this progress was still exceptionally fast!
Thanks to all these things, her recovery was stable, which made her Grandpa happy...

Fang Jia gazed at the endless horizon covered in water. They were flying for a while since they were also collecting some things along the way.
"Sorry." Lian apologised to Fang Jia.
"Why?" Fang Jia was startled.
"I should've told you we would be visiting other islands." Lian sighed, but they needed a few more good seedlings before returning to their main 'Sect'.
"I don't mind." Fang Jia shrugged, but she still stared outside.
"What are you looking at?" Lian playfully smiled. "Even if you look outside for this long, there won't be any Foxes popping up~"
"I know!" Fang Jia pouted, glaring at her mother.
"Maybe if you had convinced that Fox, you would be now rolling in bed-" Lian took her joke a bit too far and was met with a pillow against her face.
"Out! Now!" Fang Jia kept throwing pillows until Lian scurried away.
"Hmpf." Fang Jia snorted unhappily before pulling out her Cauldron.
She would do some smithing before Aiko met up with her again; only then would she be able to earn any kind of recognition.
'It will be difficult, but not impossible.' Fang Jia nodded. While Aiko was abnormal, that didn't mean she focused on things, so Fang Jia still had some wiggle room to make this work!
'If it doesn't work, I will ask my mother for some special recipes that I would be able to use as boasting material.' Fang Jia nodded as the Cauldron warmed up. It was time to do some forging~!

Li Xiu walked throughout the forest, trying to find any stragglers.
"Aiko..." Li Xiu sighed. She didn't expect that Aiko would cause such a wide-scale disaster, but she also got the news that a certain Fox was captured, and everything turned red.
'That Fox was definitely part of her team.' Li Xiu was convinced that Aiko wouldn't go this far for just any Fox, so it was only logical to assume that the Fox that was captured was part of her team.

Even before that growl ended, Li Xiu cut the Beast with her sword.
Their side was hit the least compared to the other directions.
Even the usually lazy East was forced to address the Empire, since those shitheads were the ones to cause this issue in the first place.
It all came crumbling down from the Fox side, but those greedy leaders decided to butt in, causing even a bigger issue.
This prompted Aiko to start destroying things.
"What do you think?" Li Xiu asked Bai Jing.
Bai Jing rolled her dice. "Today is a good day, and so is the rest of the week. It seems Aiko is not upset too much." The dice girl nodded her head attentively. She was just happy that she was able to avoid Aiko's wrath each time.
"You... really are on the edge." Li Xiu sighed.
"What makes you say that?" Bai Jing's voice was calm. You wouldn't be able to guess that she was nervous.
"Your palms sweat too much." Li Xiu shook her head.
"Oh..." Bai Jing immediately wiped her hands. "But it's fortunate that our Sect built a positive rapport with her.
"What? Do you like her?" Li Xiu teased her, but the answer was both unexpected and shocking.
"She is not bad. I quite like her." Bai Jing gently touched the Jade on her 'necklace'.
"What...?" Li Xiu now felt like she had another rival.
"She gave treasures to those whom she liked. Who wouldn't like her?" Bai Jing shrugged, like she didn't care about Li Xiu's preferences.
"And last time I checked, you were into guys." Bai Jing 'stabbed' Li Xiu effortlessly.
"Guh, that was low." Li Xiu pouted. "But I'm not sure how I should feel or what kind of feeling I'm experiencing."
Bai Jing rolled the dice again. "You should take more care of your body."
"What is it this time?" Li Xiu was quite annoyed whenever she heard the dice rolls, since Bai Jing would always say something misleading.
"You have even more love rivals now." Bai Jing shrugged.
"You already said that like 3 times!" Li Xiu protested.
"Seek red hair, she will be able to help you." Bai Jing added.
"Stop being cryptic! You are like my Master! Bah!" Li Xiu snorted unhappily, since she hated riddles.
For some reason, all the Cultivators loved to speak in riddles or poems. From Cultivation Manuals to even basic recipes!
She was sick and tired of it! What kind of idiot caused this insanity?!
"You will have to get used to it. There will be more poems later." Bai Jing sighed at the 'Saintess'.
"Nooooo!" Li Xiu cried out like she was being tortured by someone.

"So..." Chang'e exchanged glances with the smiling Nüwa. "Are you really smiling when your Mortal World is dying?"
"Dying? Since when?" Nüwa was confused.
"Don't tell me that this first mass slaughter event is not affecting you." Chang'e stared at Nüwa speechlessly.
"It doesn't." Nüwa said simply, but...

"Did you... Did you just grow?" Chang'e's eyes widened.
"You are imagining things." Nüwa hummed happily.

"You are definitely growing!" Chang'e glared at her.
"Is that so~" Nüwa hummed happily. There were so many Heaven's Chosen dying that it was giving her quite a bit of Providence, which then allowed her to return some of her power.
"Unbelievable..." Chang'e said speechlessly, seeing Nüwa's body bulge and pop.
"It is, isn't it?" Nüwa hummed even more.
Chang'e sighed gently. She never had a Mortal World since it seemed troublesome, but now she really wanted to have one, so she could also find another Aiko and watch her.
"You won't be able to find another Aiko." Nüwa shook her head.
"Hey! You never know!" Chang'e pouted.
"I do know, since 'they' didn't have more than one child. So even if you found someone, they would be blind believers and worshippers." Nüwa shrugged. Aiko was doing so well that Nüwa wanted to kiss all over her body!
"Yeah, yeah." Chang'e sighed, leaning against the table.

The bees buzzed around the frail tree.
They were ripping apart the sickly parts before nurturing the rest.
"You will be fine." Yu said gently. She wanted her partner to be alright.
"I know." The Demonic Saintess nodded her head gently. She was quite happy with her current situation, being with her family and her partner.
But it would be a lie if she said she didn't want to go outside of these tails and eat some delicious food under the sun.
"Aiko will figure something out." Yu smiled gently.
"You feel like a blind worshipper, you know?" The Demonic Saintess narrowed her eyes.
"If you experienced what I experienced, you would understand." Yu said expressionlessly.
"Sorry..." The Demonic Saintess apologised. That was uncalled-for from her, but it couldn't be helped.
Her body ached with the slightest movement due to the Qi leaking out of her body.
"I will give you more Pills later, Aiko will understand." Yu worried about her.
"We shouldn't." The Demonic Saintess wanted to reject it, but Yu already stuffed her with a Pill.
"Shush. Or I will feed you like a baby." Yu threatened her.
The Demonic Saintess blushed and awkwardly consumed the Pill.

My stomach has been rumbling for almost the whole day and I just couldn't focus on the main storyline, so I just created this pseudo-side story, so that we can know what each of them is doing~
It's not perfect, but a few readers liked the tails chapter, so I will work on that one too soon.
Tomorrow should be normal chapters, since I will definitely be able to sleep it off >.<
