Earthbending - Can raise land or destroy it. No castle walls are too tough for him to pass through.
Metalbending - Give the man steel, and he'll make a sword out of it. Attack the man with a sword, and the blade will bend away.
Sandbending - Stranded in a desert? No issue, he can just skate over it.
NOTE: No, all three are not a part of Earthbending in this story. That stuff is extremely OP. We're talking about snapping your fingers and killing an entire army.

Earth Bending. Sand Bending is just too limiting. It just allows him to cross the desert. Metal Bending is a powerful individual tactical ability. It will make him a great warrior. Earth Bending will be a powerful strategic ability that will effect the battleground around him. Therefore it will make him a fearsome general. Which is why I voted Earth Bending.

So, says earth bending can't effect castle walls and such....but can he destabilize the land under the castle??? Also, earth bending would be great for some of the marshy areas of The North, give them some solid ground to make roads or something

As much as I would like a Naruto fanfic with rassa or gaara as the main characters. This isn't the case so.... I think the ability to manipulate metal is much more useful.
