FULL EDIT: How Outkast Set Southern Hip Hop Free
🕑 Added 2024-01-19 17:00:13 +0000 UTCI've covered a lot of Hip Hop based in New York, but this week we're heading to the South - specifically diving into Outkast's 1996 album "ATLiens"
We'll see how their style and flow changed between their first album and this one, what happened in between, dive into the production, the lyrics, the flow, and see how this album contributed to the rise of the Dirty South.

This is awesome! I have this LP as well. '96 was a great year for hiphop. Gave us ATLiens, Illadelph Halflife, The Score, It Was Written, Reasonable Doubt, Stakes Is High, Ironman, etc. The "DTG" and "Mr Diggs" tags on the train was a nice touch! ๐ฅ
