Before you give up hope, sometimes my own computer does this. I know this sounds stupid, but did you try restarting your computer normally? Sometimes my computer will crash overnight when I'm not using it, then it'll take me to a Desktop I don't recognize and all my stuff will be gone. The first time it happened I of course lost my goddamned mind, but then I restarted my computer and everything was back to normal. It still does this from time to time, and in fact it did it recently after a Windows Update just a couple days ago. Restart took me right back to my old files. If you haven't tried restarting your computer yet like normal, give that a shot and see if it works.

Maybe a power surge? (Though that’d seem obvious) 🤷🏿‍♂️No idea. Complete fluke or not it’d suck to have it happen at the worst timing again and corrupt/lose another drive even if you do manage to get your data back

I was trying to get something similar to a Raid system but I also wanted to less complicated but now its too lated :C

I used to do it but with a external HDD but with heavy files takes hours so I stopped doing that :C now I totally regre it

I dont have any idea :C my UPS system started with a weird noise like when the electricity is going down? aaand then my PC restarted for some reason

I can just hope you start using backups and keep them up to date: - One hard drive that isn't connected to your PC, backups only - Cloud services - RAID systems

Ohhh so sorry to hear that Lia. I feel like maybe getting an external hard drive would be a good idea to make sure you wont lose any progress on these things.
