Ah, I accidentally hit Enter before I finished typing, so I deleted the previous reply. If there's ever a chance to feature a main character who's an Eastern dragon, adding unique floating poses is definitely doable—like sitting on her tail, hovering just above the ground, or even casually drinking tea. As for the tail, I’ve been considering keeping all races with long tails fairly uniform in size, just to avoid added complexity in animations and rigging. And about the chest—do you mean something like a completely smooth surface, almost like a knight’s chestplate? I can see how that would add to the reptilian realism. It might limit some player interactions and require a few dialogue adjustments, but I do agree that touches of realism like that can help sell the dragon aesthetic.

On the eastern design, the tail coiled around the feet and floating are really nice touches that set her apart. Have you experimented with making the tail larger/more prominent? I'm not sure if it would be feasible in your game without a lot of work, but if she were a rare or unique character type, having her almost always floating or balancing on the tail would really sell the eastern dragon look. And entirely a personal thing, I'd still love to see a small chest version, dragons are reptiles damn it ;p
