Hey there, Amber. How you been.

I got goosebumps when Amber recited lines she hadn't heard from the actual song but through her Dad. When memories payoff....My goodness. Our loved ones show you they"re still with us.

Here's a song from 1997 with a similar storytelling vibe you might enjoy: Can't Stop Won't Stop, by KRS-One https://youtu.be/11TzmhMJv2s?si=MwVqMlcutNdbAxwP

I am SO SO HAPPY to see you react to hip hop from the 80s. Especially a song like this that has such a strong connection for you personally. I would love to see more reactions to hip hop songs of the 80s-90s from you that might be a bit before your time but might perhaps jog some more childhood memories. A great homage/sequel to this song is Children's Story by Black Star. https://youtu.be/2CagQFPm3JY?si=lUUYegP0YObBkiH5

What a lovely soul and story. Amber always seems like a sweetheart that just loves music. I was starting to believe Amber was only pretending to take requests lol. No polls or discord always made me wonder how requests were pushed through. It might be better that way because I would be spamming Tom Petty requests daily!

As a 54 y/o who was 17 in 1988 when this dropped....I'm scared to watch the reaction realizing that I was fortunate enough to see the birth of Hip Hop.π€― THANK YOU...from all us "old heads."π΅π€πΆπ§πͺπ«΅πππ―π

I hope you continue to explore 80s hip hop. Between Slick Rick and Grandmaster Flash, the genre and era really seemed to resonate with your father.
