IMO best Christmas movie ever! Danny Elfman is such a musical talent also catherine o'hara does the voice of sally including the solo song. He has had a yearly NBC concert in October at the Hollywood Bowl. my wife and I have a black christmas tree with lots of NBC decor on it, we like the whole creepmas vibe terrifier 3 included lol. BTW you might want to check out another christmas fave called "Anna and the apocalypse" which is a british christmas musical zombie film. I think you'll enjoy it.

Great choice of movie to react to, Amber! If you're interested in another film that is also stop-motion animation, I suggest watching "Corpse Bride". It's also by Tim Burton and features Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) as the main voice actors. Between this film and Corpse Bride, I happen to like the latter more!

First watch for me! Enjoyed it, different for sure. Underrated XMas movie: Fred Claus, with Vince Vaughn. Comedy (Similar style to Elf), with family situations & difficulties, and even a bit of romance. Your kids could watch it too. Also Four Christmas' with Vince Vaughn & Reese Witherspoon is fun. You'll enjoy them! No sex or vampires though.

Tim Burton aside, Danny Elfman deserve the credit here. All the music and when Jack sings.....yeah that's Elfman singing.

Amber - THIS was a great choice. Danny Elfman....chefs kiss. Btw, when Jack is singing.....that's literally Danny Elfman also singing. Elfman also did the score for Beetlejuice, Batman, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish, Spider-man(Toby's trilogy), Doctor Strange, Good Will Hunting, etc etc.

This is really unique in so many ways. It really is more of a Halloween movie, I say 33% Christmas and 66% Halloween (1% easter of the bunny)

I had never seen this one...somehow. Not sure how many Tim Burton movies I've see, though I did see Beetlejuice, so this one makes two, at least. While I'd heard of it, I never really knew anything about it, and found the story line pretty interesting. It's funny how in this we go from Halloween to Christmas and in real life--at least nowadays--we seem to do the same, where stores start putting out all their Christmas stuff as soon as Halloween is over...skip right over Thanksgiving like it never existed!! Personally, I hate anything Christmas BEFORE Thanksgiving, though I know plenty of people do all that stuff as soon as November hits. I'm perfectly fine after, but Christmas carols in stores in early November???!!! I discovered (thanks IMDB) that 'Sally' was voice by Catherine O'Hara, who also played Kevin's mom in the Home Alone movies, so we've gotten 3 Catherine O'Hara movies in very short order! This was a really fun watch. I loved Oogie Boogie, too. Maybe not the nicest character, but entertaining as a bad guy, I guess.
