To be fair his mother did try to kill him which isn’t far off throwing him away

I never understand why people want less story in their stories

Jayden Southworth

I love your writing but author, please be honest, should I drop this book for awhile and come back when you have some more volumes? We are 20 chapters into the 2nd volume and not even half way through the first cultivation level. I absolutely understand what you are doing here, but, for me personally the quick progression at the first book teetering off into... This It's not what I expected, and I'm not a big fan of slow burns, let alone something that appears to be set up to be a goliathan of a slow burn. For me, and I know many people would disagree, the pace is already at a level where unless there is some sort of cascading breakthrough it's just too slow. I don't want to give up my patronship because I do want to support your writing, but I would like to know whether or not it would be worth it to wait for the chapter drop every day or give it a few months...

Yeah I didn’t know there were deities in this story! Something for Tian to aim for and eventually beat up

EclecticReader

I think it was a narrative shift that might have confused you. They don't know what the animals are but the omniscient narrator of the story identifies them to the reader.

Leonard Marchant

Hmm what's a meddlesome god to do with migrating mortals

Quack

Did Warby forget about the heavenly person fan and long knife Tian found? Those would both be worth a lot of money, and he could use the fan as a long ranged weapon if he needed one. But it looks like they’ve been written out of the story?

Michael

You raise a fair point

Macronomicon

With the 'mortals' being completely unhindered by the insect, i like the idea that the cultivators are simply phase-shifted, dipping their toes into realities that mortals simply don't... And to mortals, cultivators are pitiable insane people fighting imaginary bugs and thrusting empty hands at each other and shouting.

NameGame

I like Tian, he seems like a generally decent person. I do wonder how he'll react when he finds out that his parents didn't "throw him away", though. That caravan was interesting. I wonder what more we'll find out about them when they come up again. The scorpion fight was funny. Thanks for the chapter.

Counting Sheep

Am early! Also another fight wooo!

Tessellae

How did they suddenly know they were dromedaries though?
