FuriousDee

He doesn't have disposable dart's though

Gardor

When Tian is in his room fiddling with the window, is the steward standing there with just Tian? Where's everyone else? Is it like a suite of rooms, and the "4" are sorta grouped together?

Tom C

Grandpa is back! He’s been quiet for a while. TFTC

Morog T Tiny

I think he should have grabbed both dart skills, one to throw the darts he has no concern over against hoards of low levels and the upper level skill to handle his permanent darts.

Grant Prater

I thought the scroll was to try to address Tian's heart demon, he was told the elder would try to help him with it. Could also be a bit of a trap

Christopher

Given this trip is a way to try to prevent them from growing as quickly as they have been I cannot help but think the scrolls are a trap. Grandpa asking why also reinforces my suspicion. The Lin girl is a classic big family coward too, I hope Tian gets to beat her face in.

Diarmuid McGinnity

I’d love her pov

Caleb Reusser

Sister Lin should be careful or she might be learning to fly the same way as baby eagles. Elder never said anything about throwing someone overboard.

Mmaze

The mop and bucket are nice, but the gentle "You don't have to linger" is genuinely chilling as a threat. This little daoist genuinely thinks you're better off dead, and he's kindly volunteering to make it happen.

God

I think this relates to them learning from the Sects mistakes and finding another path.

It’s okay Tian. My cousin didn’t hit his growth spurt until he was 17. Now he’s nearly 6 feet tall. There is still hope.

Jesse

I had to look back, too. Elder Feng gave them each scrolls. They might all be different?

Epeen

Who wants him to read this? Did i black out on the moment he received this scroll?

Steve Wright

Studying human disaster covers so much ground. Every regulation about airplanes, trains, road construction, dams, buildings, electrical, plumbing, all of modern human endeavor, the rules are written in blood. We know not to do _this_ because of all the people that died from it. Looking forward to seeing where this arc takes us.

Wojciech Jasiński

“Very interesting. But >>your<< missing the most interesting question.” Tian is one polite mofo, no mercy for the rock throwers. Thank you, Warby. Delightful, as always.

Gardor

I sorta felt like the beginning of the chapter was halfway towards being from Hong's POV, but you never really committed. Maybe i just never noticed the perspective/tense the story has always been written in. There were lines that seemed like they were describing what Hong was seeing Tian do. I think it would be real neat to give us some internality for Hong, and it seems like a great place to do it, but if thats not what you're doing i think there is stuff to fix. "“Why?” Tian looked concerned."-> Legit forget, is it always written from this outside perspective?

Clara

Wonder if the Lin clan will be a primary or secondary antagonist for this book

Gerald Ransom Jr

If i’m not mistaken he went quiet when Tian’s dao/heart started to break

HyperJoJo

I wonder how Elder Feng reacts when Junior Lin is the only one who didn't compare notes with anyone. *giggles in malicious anticipation*

Fuyge

I think this really speaks to what tian needs. The war is a human based disaster and the mess the sect is in is one as well. I think the elder knows that tian feels conflicted in his relationship with the sect and wants to steer him into trying to fix it better the sect instead of leaving.

Boneco

Thanks for the chapter! I remember that grandpa was supposed to do a big move by the end of the elemental cave trial Hope he makes his move soon, this is a good time for it, since it doesn't appear that there will be any life and death battle in the near future

Robin Richards

because war is the most human of disasters and what Tian needs right now is to understand the nature of the disaster that fell upon his little piece of the world and to find his peace with it.

Marcia McGinley

"a few stablilising tasks" and a scroll about human disasters - fun times ahead

WickedlyDesigned

And I can't help but compare that image to that of a certain sweeper...

Garrett Therkorn

Tian, the future Mop Sage, able to clean any obstacles in his way. Also, Grandpa has returned!

Rischirobi

Thanks for the chapter

JTP

And he pulls out the mop and bucket. Love it
