What a perfect answer, Tian would never stab his brothers and sisters in the back, and his dearest desire is to fly. To be totally unfettered under the sky. Why would he take a master?

Chapter five is still locked for the poor people on Patreon :(
Eskil
Is there a chapter 5?
Fayhem
I think it's a result of the Hell Suppressing Sutra continuously refining and enhancing his body, as is commented on in the narration pretty much every time it's been put to heavy use. It's effectively gradually elevating his physique to a higher and higher grade. Truly a fortunate encounter indeed.
LordMars
Interesting it feels like each time some outsider comments on Tian's physique it is more powerful. Like initially it was declared as the dustless lotus physique, then lotus six severing, and now Immortal saint lotus

This is the "is you is or is you ain't a Boddhisatva" moment. Are you good to give up the world for your own ascension, or will you only be satisfied if everyone else ascends, too?
Sinfinite
Man I need more t-t
Christopher
All you have to do is abandon all human connection, no worries! Feels like another test.
Noroh
Honestly the lack of conversation with Hong is a more savage cliff for me than what the Lark will think.
Pinpenny the great lithian
I'm seriously contemplating calling in suck to work and trying to sleep for the next 21 hours right now. I think I have sky pride addiction...

Blessings upon the one who walks their own path, let the truth of others not bind the truth of yourself; observe, incorporate, and discard, these are tools of enlightenment.

God damn it, I kept saying to myself over the weekend "last chapter was a good break point, wait a week and then you can get back into Sky Pride with five more chapters." Then 10am came around and I immediately went into patreon chapter 6, now I have to wait till tomorrow which isn't even that long but it feels like a lifetime. What have you done to me Warby!
TeDureShi
I mean his mouth said it before his brain thought it. So it’s still brash
TeDureShi
I swear I was thinking the same thing lmao
kapo
I am sort of hoping she “experienced” some of his time in the dump. there has to be some that didn’t include grandpa. this is such a cruel thing to hope but man I keep wanting someone to understand what it was really like 😅
kapo
do you think it’s still supposed to have a kick? I thought it was just a character trait at this point lol
EvilLittleThing
Maybe Tian just doesn't know them or their birds?
DeleteLuna
"Lien looked ill." Supposed to be Liren?
BaguaBrady
Is it brashness to speak so frankly if they're going to read your mind regardless?
Teach
Tian getting away with mouthing off to his seniors is becoming so commonplace that it’s starting to lose its kick.
James Faulkner
😂
Andrew Lechner
Sometimes the last sentence makes a chapter. This is one of those chapters. For a mindreader, the lark does not seem to understand Tian's.
João Vene
I want to say that it's incredibly shitty to make an offer like that and take it back because it was a test... but someone that would jump ship here probabbly wouldn't be able to maintain the level of loyalty she's asking for, so really she can just honor the agreement and set them up to fail later. Or she's just petty and cruel enough to actually take back the offer
AnthraxRipple
Man, all that stuff with Liren has me significantly more anxious about that than the cliff. Hopefully this whole experience will expose and clean some of those wounds.
Zenopath (AEV)
I am guessing this was a test. Those who were greedy enough, and disloyal enough to accept that last condition would have failed.
kapo
holy shit what a good chapter end I wonder if she was serious in her offer? I’m guessing yes, but does that mean she’ll be upset at his rejection? or maybe it was another test? actually, that seems rather likely. if she can read his mind then shouldn’t she have an idea of how he would react to the suggestion of absolute loyalty/filial piety and the severing of all of his human relationships? or maybe she hasn’t been reading his mind long enough. but I’m guessing the sparrow saw Elder Rui’s memories of Tian’s rejection of filial piety which makes the “test” assumption more likely.
Leander
I am laughing my ass off
João Vene
I guess Liren's ilussion test Tian was all about how the Hong killed the Xia, and those same "Do you really love him? Does he really love you?" that Tian got. Also they must have pointed out how little actually holds him to ACM, if he didn't actually forgive Fu and Liren. She probabbly has doubts if he is going to take the deal and leave the Monastery, and they're offering to take her in so she can stay with him
Aaron Archer
What a ruthless response.
kjart
Thanks for the chapter! Glad this one didn't land on a Friday, hah
Cameron Bacon
lmao that last line
Veridescent
Mm to have ones identity rejected by one who you have excluded as being a animal who brings pain, is hurtful to identity. Especially such being ones eternal companion.
The Human
Seems weird to name 7/9 but not the last two in the intro taking stock - unless only 7 passed but end of last chapter you said 9
Alias
God damn, evil-ass cliffhanger lmfao, but that's the sky pride style
G&S Gaming
"His presence, and their hostility, caused them to die" That line goes so fucking hard.
Chrysos au
Thanks for the chapter
