I wonder if runes are just all 2/3D slices of the same 4D structure

UraniumPhoenix

There was a typo somewhere. I know I fixed it in the main document and RR, but I may not have fixed it here on Patreon. To help you theorycraft: the Luminate Order recognizes: Altrukyst (1), Eintocarst (2), Shiamagoth (3), Xylatarvia (4), Yiaverunan (5), Carkavakom (6), and the Ominian (7) as Elder Gods to be worshiped. Heretical branches recognize Zomalator (8). Then there's the mysterious Elder God in the Labyrinth (9) which no one seems to be mentioning. By implication, there's certainly other Elder Gods that the Pantheon fought against in the Gods' War, but no one worships them. Hope that helps!

Managed to get sick. Not too bad, but still enough to slow things down. Thanks for the concern!

Amadhe

Huh, latest chapter isn’t up. Hopefully everything is fine Uranium Phoenix!

yeah i'm wondering whether the cataclysm was a result of either someone else or mirian herself communicating with people asynchronously

Michael Vonica

So, I wanted to make a theory about the Elder Gods, but I came across a problem. How many Elder Gods are there? From what we know, there should be nine of them, with the Ominian being a potential tenth god, as they do not have their own statue in the labyrinth. But of these ten, only eight have names. Altrukyst, Carkavakom, Eintocarst, Shiamagoth, Xylatarvia, Yiaverunan, Zomalator, and Ominian/Divitrius. One is explicitly recognized as being unknown. Who is the tenth god? We have never gotten a description or name for them, nor has Mirian ever considered their existence. In Alkazaria, Mirian gathered seven high priests before going to meet the bishop there. These high priests represented Altrukyst, Eintocarst, Shiamagoth, Xylatarvia, Yiaverunan, and Carkavakom. That's only six. The seventh high priest's god was never described. It wasn't Zomalator, and I don't think it was the unknown god Mirian found in the labyrinth vault, either. Was it simply the Ominian, or was it the other god who has never been named? In chapter 183, Uranium either has a typo, or he intentionally has Mirian misremember the number of statues in the labyrinth vault. She only remembers eight statues, when at all other times, it has been stated that there are nine. We know some weird behavior can happen around gods. Saying the Ominian's true name has a strange effect attached to it. Could the existence of this tenth god have something similar attached to it, where people just become unable to consciously recognize it? Or maybe I'm just making a big leap off of one little ignored detail and a typo. But this is really bugging me. Am I just missing something here?

this couldn't be a condition, for it's impossible to fulfill in other timelines. simple invention of spel engines changed lives of every person on Enteria. Unification war directly impacted lives of everyone in Baracuel and Persama, and less directly in Persama. it also led to partitioning of Zhighua. there's just no way timeline where these events didnt happen(impact 6th prophet and everyone before him) is gonna have Mirian, Ibrahim or anyone else

I have to get this of my chest: I have not been this invested in a ongoing serial fiction since reading and rooting for MoL. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to every other day or so!

Mr NerfGun

It's been not even 2 cycles.

Evil Legend

Honestly, this whole “thinking in glyphs” thing keeps reminding me more and more of Arrival. I mentioned it in a comment a few chapters back when people were theorizing about time fields, but now it really feels like the right direction to think in. In Arrival, learning and thinking in the aliens’ language literally allowed a person to perceive their entire timeline and created information loops connecting the distant future to the past. Mirian isn’t quite there yet, but everything about it feels like full knowledge of the glyph language might grant similar kinds of advantages in this story.

Evil Legend

Just a funny thought, but if the final form of the leyline regulator ends up being toroidal, would that literally make it a giant, mystically glowing flying halo that hovers behind Mirian when active? Kind of like an SSR-tier upgrade version of her. Because that would be both awesome and hilarious.

Leaf

I can’t wait for the next myr testing, I feel like it’s been so long since the last one.

Leaf

The only person with more magical power than her is her father, and she’s on a quick path to catch up.

Crackpot theory #826296: This series ends with Mirian traveling through time to each of history's prophets to repo their anchors and close their loops

Alexander Dupree

So I’m not crazy to think she’s the last statue. She’s absolutely going beyond humanity at this point and they’re all, every prophet, pinned to the same spacetime uh point seems too limited but entity fails to capture its continuity properly. All of them are attached to a train that winds in and out of their respective spacetime localities. The train has crashed but not all the passengers need follow its demise. They can leap off the track together to safety but need a new train to carry them through the mess.

Robert Mullins

Based on Mirian's thoughts this chapter I realized there's another condition for being made a a prophet. The prophet's existence has to be guaranteed in as many branches as possible. So that if the 6th prophet made a change that got people killed it wouldn't result in mirian and the others never being born.

Alexander Dupree

Yeah it’s sad to me she’s lost everyone and she has to watch them repeatedly fall away forever reminding her of her sacrifice.

Pete Magnuson

Hmm yes, another step away from (beyond?) humanity

AnthraxRipple

Hmmm, given that the conductors seem to have rules preventing them from talking to humans out of sequence, I've got to wonder if Humans talking to each other asynchronously could cause issues with that pacts. Like, does the Meatball overlord want that restricted to creatures that can actually perceive the fields of time?

Anotherb Account

Incredible. Love how you’re handling the very challenging “tons of people in the loop” section of great time loop stories, very impressive and enjoyable to read.

Reed M

ahhhhhh i love how mirian continues to get further from normal human experience- thinking in glyphs, five soul ascensions, on track to be the most powerful archmage ever, just wow

KooZnack

Thanks for the chapter!
