I'm Transgender.

as the title may already suggest to you, I feel it's time to let you all know about my situation. I've already talked to some of you that share my gender diversity on Discord, but since I just started HRT, I feel like it's time to share my story with all of you.
So.. yeah.. surprise surprise, somebody making games about being trans is trans herself. Shocker. While I guess this isn't much of a surprise to some of you, that was a whole different story for my family, so it has been tremendously difficult to come out to my wife, my mother, and my sister. For some reason it was way easier to tell my friends about it, mostly because they are all video game developers and so leftist that I would have been surprised by any backlash. My mother had the most problems with it. She was pretty passive-aggressive since I told her, trying to convince herself that the psychotherapy would cure me of this phase or something. But... since I told her that that would actually be illegal, she has realized that this is not going away and was able to move on eventually. My wife has been so so supportive and it was the best thing ever when she told me that she had no doubts about wanting to be with me after my transitioning. I'm so thankful for her and will have to lean on her a lot over the next years.
Anways... my new name is Kim and I use she/her pronouns.
My early transitioning has already been a tremendously eventful time and if you want to know more, you can follow my new profile on Twitter to read all about my struggles, hopes and transition events. For example last weekend I traveled internationally as myself for the first time and was surprised how welcome everybody in London was. Sitting in a pub with my wife and being called "Ladies" was the best feeling ever and gave me so much confidence and hope for the future, that I can't believe the UK is considered a rather difficult place for trans people to be right now. It was really really great.
As I said, I just started HRT yesterday and I don't think it will have much of an effect for a while, but it might, so if I become a little agitated over the next year please remember that the first year of HRT is supposed to be like a second puberty. I'm sorry in advance. I was a little on the edge all morning and I don't think it had anything to do with that but it made me feel like I needed to write this text to let you all know in advance.

I just assume anyone making "trans positive" sex games would be Trans themselves. I never looked into it or assumed otherwise. Years back, I would take a strange interest into games like yours before I knew I was trans. Honestly, I thought I was just a perverted fetishist, and I was afraid of being a "sissy," like many trans sex games usually revolve around. But that's not real life. Being a "sissy" is such a specific fetish in the trans community, that it is actually surprising how many sex games and comics are based on it. I will say, I love your games because of how it doesn't follow that trend. Yes, there's a character that can put a chastity cage on you, but it's seen as a bondage device instead of a emasculating tool. Keep up the good work, and good luck!

I consider myself an open-minded and tolerant person to a certain extent. I believe your situation. If you are going to make a transition to change or modify your body. Think carefully to what extent you are willing to change your body. You see, I have some trans friends and all of them have decided to keep their... Reproductive systems... Don't go too fast and go little by little, lean on friends and family and never rule out therapist help so they can guide you through these changes.

Ahhh!!! Congratulations girl!!! I'm so happy for you!! As a fellow trans girl I know just how hard it can be. I myself have been on HRT for about 9 years now! It doesn't change everything, but it certainly has helped me feel more comfortable in my body. I'm so glad your wife was so supportive! Your games have definitely helped me experience some good things ^.^. I wish you luck!! I'll be cheering you on and continuing to love your games!!!

Congrats on starting HRT! And I'm glad your wife is being supportive, the possible disapproval from your loved ones is real rough to deal with. re: Britain: a lot of the transphobia it is so infamous for is really among the middle class journalists, which makes it so much more visible than it otherwise would be, the population at large is largely about as accepting as elsewhere in the west.

Even if (like me) you've been into games and other media/fantasies about being femininized for a long time, it's still a big and scary step to finally admit "I'm trans" and start on HRT. I'm about 4 months on it, and I'm just starting to look in the mirror and occasionally see glimpses of "me", and it's a pretty awesome feeling. 🩷

Thank you, I will definitely do that. Not really a city that is on my shortlist, but we are planning to do a lot more traveling through "Europe" over the next years while the transition is in its early stages. Scotland is on the list so Wales might get on there as well. :)

Thank you so much for the kind words. Luckily I haven't really seen any backlash from the german people at all so far either. I think it's more complicated for people who knew you before. And also Cologne in general is probably one of the best places to be. I've lived in Bonn as well for a few years, and I know the connection between the cities is so strong that I assume the same is true there.

Congrats Kim, seeing the journey with a colleague, he is on testosterone therapy, just had his masectomy and must say the hormone threatment is awesome to witness, small subtle changes after each shot. My dear friend Kim, I am pleased that you have confirmed my suspicions today and that you have undergone the transgender procedure. I just had a look at your new X-profile and damn, your profile picture looks good. The road ahead of you and behind you is not easy and it won't get any easier. As you yourself have experienced, many people in Germany still find it difficult to accept that there is not only strictly male and female, but that there are also people who feel that they belong to the opposite sex and who live and act accordingly. As a Kölsche Mädche (Girl who comes from Cologne), you know the phrase Leeve un levve losse (ive and let live in Cologne dialect). And that's exactly the case. Your mother will learn to accept that she has a daughter, what she is currently going through can still be observed in many people and, in my experience, astonishment and surprise. As a Kölsche Jung, as an artist for transgender, breast expansion and bimbofication, as a full-time gamer but also as a friend from the neighboring town 20km away, I am there if you and your wife need support on your way. I am happy for you and wish you all the best for your transition.
