You *can* do garters to keep thigh highs up - and as long as you spin a reasonably fine gauge wool yarn, knit to fit, and dye to match (assuming one sheep is white) then it's theoretically possible. Stockinette stitch is pretty stretchy - hence the name - and that's where knitting versus weaving produces wildly different fabric. And no, they would 💯 not look like the picture - I'm just saying. ;-) Though now I'm also wondering how fine Mei can spin wool...

All these leggings require rubber for spandex…so Jin should discover the rubber tree from the Southern expedition and invent lots of rubber things!…or sponsor the creation of a rubber crafting guild. With spandex as the ultimate, heavens defying goal. 😉😜
