Also if you're looking for an online merchant that you can use to send your payments from patreon to, chime is "meh".. I use Varo bank for all my patreon payments and financial needs in general, period. they have a great customer service line, they handle disputes fantastically, they're always there to support me and answer questions and they always hold my hand through a dispute. I can't recommend them enough. Just check them out I've been with them for years and my family member has used chime for years, I don't use chime that's why I'm not championing them, but my family member is happy with them. Both that I have listed support everything that PayPal does. Especially Varo, whether it's crypto or gig payments or just as a regular savings account or checking account sending money person to person anything, they're servicws offered rival PayPal.. obviously don't use venmo because PayPal owns venmo if you're weary of them until you're dispute is handled properly

It shouldn't matter if they're saying your IP is consistent. I have settled plenty of disputes with PayPal with no issues, they always always tell me to resolve it with the original person first whether it's a seller or a company or a merchant or whatever, or Google, they always tell me to contact the person or the entity on the other end of the payment dispute before contacting PayPal, and they always say once you contact the person responsible for this fraudulent charge, and there is no resolution, or nobody responds, they will then go ahead with the dispute and speak to you. It's weird I wish they had a 1-800 number like every other bank but if it's a fraudulent charge, you should be able to trace it back with the statement that showed up on your PayPal activity, and your bank should be able to help you figure out who or what company did that to you, and then from there when your armed with information, you can start the dispute with PayPal. But it never fails, it's in their terms of service and they've told it to me many times, they have to feel like you've exhausted all avenues of trying to resolve the issue with the other end of the transaction even if it is fraudulent and then once they feel that you have exhausted all effort of either contacting them or figuring out information only then will they start a dispute It is weird it is stupid I wish they had a 1-800 number like any other stupid ass bank. Considering they're one of the biggest banks in the world because they are a worldwide thing, I would assume they would have 1-800 numbers especially for amounts that big. Also I don't know you or your personal life but if it's not in your history, if you don't have a habit of accepting or sending large amounts of money like that, they could you could also use that as credibility on your end, showing them that this is out of the ordinary that you don't normally partake in transactions this large whether it's fraudulent or not, and that should also help you out in dealing with PayPal
