That sounds a lot like you ... some years ago you had a phase where you were introducing a lot of new characters to the game (at the ceremony where you became a soldier, a big group of girls who will be trained with you together were introduced; then you wanted to show all the pirate sisters of your aunt, etc. etc.), but now you're in another phase not of extending the character pool and subplots, but the visual quality. I think you are always aiming for something bigger, trying you maker your game greater and greater, but honestly, I don't feel that it is working. The problem with all of this is not only, as you say, that your work becomes slower and slower because of the high effort you put into every scene, the problem is also that your story has lost its focus, there are too many characters and too many plots in there that will never be finished. The game must end at some point, it can't go on for 20 years. Where are we right now, are we even at the halfway-point of the story? I have no idea. So, all I can say is that I am concerned for the game, but in the end you are the artist and you decide.

I understand about changes to yourself and not liking them. My body has gone through many changes too in the last, well, quite a few years mainly due to my diabetes. I'm Type I so I have to take shots multiple times a day. I've had to give up playing all sports due to what's called "frozen shoulders." I can't throw a ball. I can't swing a golf club. I can't play catch with my sons. It's aggravating as hell! I wish I was who I was, but life told me that's not going to happen. So I'm dealing with the changes every day. One thing I can do is tell you when it's going to rain/snow up to 72 hours out because of my back. Yeah, exciting, right? Bill Paxton just played a human barometer. I'm the real thing. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, worry about yourself first. I know you want to do more, but sometimes life wants differently for us and we can't fight it no matter what we do. Just take your time. We'll be here when you're ready. Your game is magical, no pun intended, and I enjoy playing it every time a new update comes out. Keep up the incredible work and keep yourself sane. I know how hard that is, believe me, but if I can do it, I know you can do it too!

I'd prefer smaller more polished updates, than you killing yourself over trying to make huge updates. The quality increase is awesome, previews look great. Slim down the number of scenes, and put your love into the scenes you make!

For me, this game is worth the wait. And at least you talk to us. Keeping us updated on what is going on. To never give up is the answer to me. So keep it up.
