So I'm curious about a few things. A lot of them are more technical, and I know you use Procreate (and I don't, I'm sorta learning Krita), so I don't know how much is program-specific and how much isn't. And my attempt to mimic what you've explained in other comments ended disastrously. But here goes. 1) When you draw, are you using lighter colors/lighter greys, or are you using the same dark color/black but at less opacity? I think you're doing the latter, except when you're doing highlights, but I'm curious. 2) when you add the red layer behind it, the "fill" for the character, did you put the sketch on a layer blend/layer mode? Like Multiply or Screen? Forgive me for asking so many questions, but you're one of the few artists who is somewhat approachable and whose style I want to learn from.
