Spruce Clothing!

With all of the articles of clothing, I was trying to think of the designs from a anatomical, as well as practical stand point. For example the idea with the clasps on the sides of the cap could be extended to something like say... a hood? To make it more easily accessible though, perhaps some sort of magnetic buckle, so that it's a much simpler process to remove the hood and put it on, without having to pass too much with the clasp itself.
Next for the tops, I was thinking of how we as humans have basically two methods of putting on a shirt; the first being a "pullover the head" situation, and the next being something that you could open up the front or back of the top, to slip it on. Now considering Spruce has horns, a pull over type top might be less functional unless the head opening is extremely large. In those cases it might be ok. But I feel like culturally, if clothing did develop, it would more likely be the slip on type of top as to remove the issue of the horns getting caught. So having things with zippers, buttons or ties might be the go to on the bulk of clothing.
Finally, the shoes. With the plantigrade version, they still differ from human shoes to make up for the differences in foot anatomy, so a wider front toe area, and either a decorative (for style purposes), or actual split along the middle of the toe to allow for better toe mobility. The rest of the shoe design could probably stay pretty similar to human shoes.
With the ungulate versions, I had to think about why it would even be needed at first, since the tough nail that's walked on already serves as a fairly good protective barrier. With that said, as with human feet it doesn't have to be just about protecting the foot. The reasoning could just as easily be for a better grip. A treaded rubber sole might make for improved grip on extremely hard, or wet terrain. Another reason might be for reduction in the noise of the "clopping" from the hooves (something that would be more unique situation to a hoofed character)
Overall, it was a pretty fun process trying to work out all of this stuff. xD

I was thinking about this for Glim too... what do horse furs do when they want to enter someone's house but their hooves are all muddy? or what if they're shod? are there horseshoeshoes to cover the horseshoes so as not to damage the host's floors?

Uuugh. Non-humanoid clothing that doesn't take divergent anatomy into account bothers me SO much. And since I'm a fantasy writer and I'm all about making the settings immersive and believable, I probably spend waaay too much time considering anatomy and other random elements for clothing. I think the worst example I've seen is with creatures that have rather thick and bulky tails (lizardfolk come to mind) where their outfit is more or less standard for humanoids (humans plus orcs or elves or even beast-folk to an extent, as long as they're closer to the Wolfman model with plantigrade feet and no tail) such as a kilt or trousers... but there's just a hole for the tail. I could see that for creatures who grow up in a society where the majority of the populace happens to not have tails, but among their own kind? It would be like us having, for dress shirts, say, a right sleeve with elegant tailoring, a nice cuff... and then the left "sleeve" is just a hole in the garment. I would think with a limb that big (many versions of lizardfolk, say, have tails that have about as much mass, if not more, than a leg) would not just accommodate a limb of that size, but would adorn or utilize it. But for yours... I like the shirt under the hoodie, it makes me think of the dobuk I used to wear for Taekwondo practice (dobuks are basically the training uniform). It looks like something you can see that evolved from a robe. You could also, and this is just me spitballing, do a sorta hybrid shirt, where it sports either an extended open neck that can be laced up (like the top of a sneaker, say, or a "medieval-style" bodice on a dress" or buttons that might go down to, say, mid-chest. If you left it open, it would be more revealing (and also probably harder to wear - the shirt would shift to one side or the other, would be like wearing a shirt several sizes too big, and would feel like it's constantly falling off), and if you wanted to, you can play with fashion styles (straight-laced and proper vs relaxed and casual). And asymmetry is a thing you can use too. Maybe buttons that, rather than going down the front, go down the side of the chest and across the ribs? Anyway, this artwork is really great! I love the thought you put into it!

The left version is superior because the digitigrade shoes SLAP, the whole outfit is lovely but the shoes are the cherry on top. Anna Wintour needs to get him on the cover of Vogue

I love when artists design erganomical shoes and cloths for non human characters. Instead of cheaping out (especially the shoes) so kudos! Also outfit 1 is my favorite (the blue one)

I love seeing the thought process behind these decisions. It's so cool to see how other people approach anthro clothing and where their mind goes for it. The designs for the ungulate version of the shoes are really cool to look at. Very awesome and very well done.
