Sculpting Cypress
🕑 Added 2024-04-17 21:27:36 +0000 UTCTrying this out again π π¦
(properly this time lol)
The pose in mind is similar to what I have in these refs, but maybe a bit more of an aggressive walk. So far, I've built the armature stand and the armature, but the fun stuff comes next ππ
I'll post updates here as I go, in between working on other stuff. Also gonna get back into some more pose sketching. I'm thinking some Gators/crocs and some Monitors up next (aka big scaly bois and gals) π
Thanks again for the support, and I appreciate the patience! π

I'm a little worried: the legs wires looks quite thin for the size of the sculpture, they might not be able to hold the weight they had to support. Tho, I don't know what will be your process, so that's just my 2 cents based on my experience with Monster Clay (wax based clay)

Depends a bit on what youβd be doing. This video from Proko is pretty good for explaining materials though. πhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L1kCB4Ahqrk&pp=ygUXc2N1bHB0aW5nIGZvciBiZWdpbm5lcnM%3D But to boil it down, you basically need a sculpting material, some sort of sculpting tool (hands can count), and depending on size/material, a base/stand and or armature to hold the material. π
