Cypress Sculpt Update + After Battle WIP
🕑 Added 2024-05-05 21:55:01 +0000 UTCHey guys! Hope everyone has been having a great Weekend! Here are some more updates on the Cypress sculpture. I've done a lot on it since the last update, so I'll just list off some of the changes and additions:
-Repositioned the left arm so that it's pulled back (makes more sense with the pose), and finished sculpting the left hand.
-Fixed a portion of the right glute to add a bit more muscle definition in that area
-raised the entire armature up about 1/2" by adjusting the rods position on the bar of the stand. (I wanted the legs to be a little less squat. With this, I also made slight adjustments to the pose (very slight)
-Went over both legs again, and made the feet larger, and ankles thicker to look more sturdy and to be more proportionate to the hands and wrists
-Added more detail to the hair, including adding the elven braids and ponytail
-Added more mass to the front of the right delt to match the left side
-built out the serratus and the obliques a bit more, and also made some adjustments to the lower abdomen to flow more with the slight twist it has
-Added clay to the tail
-Minor adjustments in different areas, one of which was to add a bit more clay into the eyes to make the surface convex, like an eye. Also, cleaned up the horns.
So yeah.. a lot of stuff π
The WIP was just something I threw together from a scene that plays in my head where Cypress has a battle (sort of) with something like a Fell beast from LOTR. Not a dragon, but more of a corruption from a curse or magic. Essentially, this is the aftermath of the battle. (also the battle where he breaks his hammer, and switches to an ax AND gets the large scar across his chest)

That painting of Cypress looks amazing! Itβs nice to see a bit of his story and how he got his scar. And the sculpture is coming along fantastic! Everything looks so goood!β¨β¨β¨
