Also, I realized as I was working on him that I don't think he's actually supposed to have a tail (in game) ๐ With that said, I like how it balances out the piece compositionally, so I figured some artistic freedom here may not hurt ๐ (Feel free to trash me in the comments if necessary though ๐)
But yeah, this was a fun bit of practice for anatomy, and I think he was a great subject for a (m)ood figure. And while there were a bunch of time spent on exploratory sketches to nail down the pose, I feel like it was worth it ๐

Yeah! Triangles are super important in composition. Just one of the many tools in composition!

I love the pose; he looks relaxed and commands respect at the same time. Needless to say, I find him incredibly attractive, and appreciate your attention to anatomical details. I like the tail. He's got plantigrade feet, so maybe the original design was more "man with bull's head" rather than "anthropomorphic bull" (which I prefer). But then there are plenty of examples of creatures that, say, have animal ears and a tail.

I'm a photographer and I'm LOVING the pose here. So many triangles and your eye is drawn to the center so beautifully! I strive so get this kinda drapery in a piece too. Big studio goals one day.

It's a wonderfully crafted roguelite, rich and full of quirky characters, and with a touching story about friendship and family bonds. It takes patience, but rewards it a hundred-fold!

Your take on Asterius wonderfully renders this down-to-earth, serious, sincere Minotaur. I'm hearing his low thundering voice in my mind, teasing at young Zagreus as he's joyfully waiting for another bout with him. (If you've never played Hades and have at least an interest in roguelites,I wholeheartedly recommend it!)
