Cypress Battle Final! 🪓🐮 (Moodity)

I've honestly been wanting to do something like this for a while, but I wanted to really sit on the battle scene for a bit, until the right sort of idea in terms of subject matter came along. Once it did though, it was just about working out composition. Overall, I'm liking how it turned out though, and I'm glad that I took the extra time to mull it over and think about the implicated lore too 😂
Speaking of which!
LORE TIME
Now for a bit about the creatures Cypress is fighting. Without spoiling too much, these creepy guys are known as the Shardfell. (currently a placeholder name if I don't come up with something I like more 😂) They are basically the result of magical experimentation by a group of researchers from centuries past, who attempted to form a new form of magic with an incomplete knowledge of the source (The Shard), and how it works. There hubris got the best of them and this manifested as a sort of "magical corruption" that infects and mutates the host into a more grotesque, yet more powerful form. The corruption can spread through bites and blood to blood contact, though it is rare, since the victim usually perishes from injury, or through the process of transformation itself. It reduces the victim to more basal survival instincts and as such they have rapid healing and regenerative abilities and are just VERY though to kill in general. Best to not encounter them in the first place... 😂
But yeah, in essence, they are in basically the magical equivalent of werecreatures in this universe, except the transformation is permanent. 😂

Oh! Also incorporated a bit of his new outfit! Stay tuned for more of that in the future 😆

I love the lore, it adds depth to the picture! Also it enhances the already stark contrast between the corrupt creatures and Cypress' pure, primal nakedness, his bright smooth body a bulwark against the advance of darkness.
