This was done in just over 4 hours, so this is what I would deem as a manageable composition format for myself each day. I still want to work on getting that "movement" in the piece better and I'm not really that sold on how I went about it for this one, so I'll be doing more of these, to explore other ideas. (Also, I should be clear that I'm trying to do this without using motion blur first, because I want to develop a style that looks cool without having to rely on a specific tool too much π)

I've been thinking about this. The blur lines are something but they feel disconnected in two ways: One, they are a different color than the actual subject and two, the rest of him looks stagnant. There's an attempt at motion blur for the hands, but the lesser bits that would also be moving are still razor sharp. If you could find a way to blur the figure's line in some sort of gradient that would give a much stronger impression of movement. Say, the claws are moving the fastest, thus the most blurred, but the elbows a bit less and the shoulders even less. Given the way we twist to produce power, you could even give the opposing knee a very slight motion blur in the opposite direction, which is kinda there but given the pose doesn't seem to make sense in the overall image.
