Necron Royal Warden: The Leg

This week I'm much earlier then usually and I already have for you the video tutorial about painting my Necron's leg.

I meant "without retarder, pure mixture", I make sometimes mistakes like this because painting and talking in a foreign language is very stressful to me. In general I would recommend you to just try out what suits you better, but I find out that when the area is small, and you have to make a very "sudden" transition from shadow to reflection, then it works better with me when I use just a few color mixtures rather them more midtones.

In the video at 1h23min you say ”It is better to use pure mixtures with retarder”. Having seen everything up until that point I assume better than taking 50:50 mix of both mixtures that form the initial layers? And a follow up question on that: Is the reason for doing so because it is a chrome look you want or because of the fact the details are small and there is not enough space?
