Heat 0.2.9.2 Milestone - Autothrust, music, poses, socks, and more!
🕑 Added 2021-08-30 01:41:54 +0000 UTCWhew. That was a busy month. Fred had a pretty bad eyelid infection that knocked him out for a week and it was a bit of a scramble to get things done. However, we still got a lot of fun stuff done this month!
We have the game's first custom music by Anthemics! For now it's one track that plays in the main room. Let us know what you think and if we should commission more music from him!
There's a whole bunch of small features in this build, with the 'big' feature being the new radial menu with autothrusting. The radial menu will be used in the future for all sorts of character-specific controls. For now it's being used for toy auto-thrusting, so you don't have to do all the hard work yourself ;). The 'mouth' thrusting didn't make it in this build, look forward to it next build!
I've also changed the way fluids are handled internally to fixed the low fluid amounts some people were seeing. Turns out people with lower framerates were getting less fluid. That should be more consistent now, and I've increased the max fluid amount and added a fluid lifetime slider. Hopefully the fluids are satisfactory now!

How to run Heat(Remember you need SteamVR to run the game in VR, and 7zip(recommended) or WinRAR to unpack it.)
New Patrons: Patreon is really slow at the beginning of the month and may take a few hours to acknowledge you're a patron for the authentication. Patreon is not updating a handful of user's pages and is failing to auth even after a long time. If you can't auth, try relogging into Patreon. If it still doesn't work, go into your Patreon profile and change any setting, such as your Patreon name or pledge privacy setting to force Patreon to update your profile. The auth should work after that. If it doesn't message me on Discord or Patreon.

WMR
WMR controls change depending on the model, and some actions may be unbound entirely. You can see/edit your bindings by going to the settings in the SteamVR overlay and adjust the bindings and add any missing actions there.
For 2D:
- ESC: Close/move menu
- WASD: Move
- Q/E or Ctrl/Space: Move up and Down
- TAB: Open Radial Menu
- N: Extend tongue/kiss
- M whilst holding toy: Shoot
- Click: Grab something
- R/F and Z/X: Rotate item in hand
- Mouse Wheel: Move object away or towards the camera
- Mouse: Rub something when the hand moves in
The 2D interactions are still experimental and limited, but hopefully still enjoyable :)

Known Issues
- Laser might not register with UI sometimes, possible fixes are: Game restart, by setting the game window to focus by clicking on it, or by alt-tabbing (let me know if this still happens, I may have fixed it)
- You can get boneitis if both hands rub something at once just for the first time. To fix this just move both hands away from the character for a bit and it should stop happening
- Browser doesn't launch when hitting authenticate, or refuses to connect: Try running in admin mode or setting a different browser to default temporarily

This is from joystick drift, a common problem with controllers. You can open the SteamVR overlay and go into the input settings and increase the deadzone of the joysticks until they no longer drift

I'm playing through WMR, there is one serious bug in this version. It continues to move slowly in a specific direction even without giving any input. That symptom is disappear If I turn on the option that replace the controller with the waist tracker. However, activating this option locks the slide movement. There seems to be something wrong with the slide movement with the joystick.

Honestly there's just no more buttons to work with. VR controllers don't have many, and we're still trying to figure out the best button for everything. You can always go into the SteamVR overlay and change the mouth button to something else. We'll try to figure out a better option for it in the future

May I ask why the tounge was changed to thumbstick press? That is one of a reason Index controller thumbsticks degrade more over time... Had to return two of my controllers cause of a drift in the past... Making sure to not press them and they lasted the longest yet... Would like this to return, at least for Index, to where it was before :( Prolly am a vocal minority at this moment... As I don't see anyone else mentioning this here... But I would like these controllers to last as long as possible without the need for weird custom controller configs ideally :/

I rly dig the Riley + Emmy pose. I was kinda disappointed when I first saw them just lying there, but I think that's exactly what I want more of! I'm looking forward to having more characters in a scene at once!

Strange. Try messing with the graphics settings when you're in there, maybe the SteamVR suspersampling settings and such too. Redownloading the game might help as well

Sure, the gloryhole room is oversaturated when i enter it affects everything when i enter except the penises its just bright white. I can see the underlying textures they are still there its not like a void more like brightness is cranked to 900 or i accidentally choked on cock and died and went to heaven lol. If you want ill try to get a screenshot tommorow.

I think people are thinking it's an option. You do something and boom Zebra. I'm thinking you actually have to make him a zebra yourself. Like color him white and add the black stripes.

It'll only show up when there's a character in the scene and you press the button. If the control for it isn't working go into the SteamVR overlay controller bindings and reset the controls to developer defaults, or change them to your liking, but make sure the radial menu action is bound

Nothing like that specifically implemented yet, but I bet if you turn an autothrust toy on for him, he'll climax every from it every now and then and you can nestle yourself under him while he thrusts

for poses such as the one where Atlas is humping on the bed, is there a way to have it trigger as if he is humping the player while looking up at him from beneath? The only way I have been able to achieve this is by manipulating the blowjob trigger but it's inconsistent that way and has some rather awkward angles in order to pull off.
