Heat 0.3.4.2 Milestone- IRL Toy Menu, Gape, Save/Load Custom Poses, Two New Duo Climaxes, etc
🕑 Added 2022-01-29 23:32:18 +0000 UTCThis month we've improved a lot of features and added some new ones. Our new programmer Miles is settling in and is making great progress in the code. He's proving to be a great addition to the team!
One of the notable improvements will be with the character's sucking poses. They should close around the toys better, and Riley in particular has a new system and animations in place for testing that should be less prone to errors.
The UI has seen some overhaul is well, with submenus and the first addition of the kinks menu, with at this point contains the new gape feature as well as the previously existing macro/micro player scale features.
Toy integration has seen some more love with a proper list of connected toys and some instructions, as well as per-toy options.
As one of the follower-ups of the last feature poll, we've also added custom pose saving/loading. You can now save the poses you put the characters in in pose 2! These poses will save in the game's directory in a poses folder and should be easy to share.

How to run Heat(Remember you need SteamVR to run the game in VR, and 7zip(recommended) or WinRAR to unpack it.)
New Patrons: Patreon is really slow at the beginning of the month and may take a few hours to acknowledge you're a patron for the authentication. Patreon is not updating a handful of user's pages and is failing to auth even after a long time. If you can't auth, try relogging into Patreon. If it still doesn't work, go into your Patreon profile and change any setting, such as your Patreon name or pledge privacy setting to force Patreon to update your profile. The auth should work after that. If it doesn't message me on Discord or Patreon.

I've completely run out of buttons on this thing so you may need to customize the controls in the SteamVR overlay. If you have any suggestion on how best to bind everything, let me know on Discord please.
- That weird button close to the pad: Menu

- Bottom of touchpad: Kiss/Lick
- Left Touchpad: Move
- Sides of Right Touchpad: Rotate

WMR
WMR controls change depending on the model, and some actions may be unbound entirely. You can see/edit your bindings by going to the settings in the SteamVR overlay and adjust the bindings and add any missing actions there.
For 2D:
- ESC: Close/move menu
- WASD: Move
- Q/E or Ctrl/Space: Move up and Down
- TAB: Open Radial Menu
- N: Extend tongue/kiss
- M whilst holding toy: Shoot
- Click: Grab something when the cursor lights up green
- R/F and Z/X: Rotate item in hand
- Mouse Wheel: Move object away or towards the camera
- Mouse: Rub something when the hand moves in
The 2D interactions are still experimental and limited, but hopefully still enjoyable :)

Known Issues
- Laser might not register with UI sometimes, possible fixes are: Game restart, by setting the game window to focus by clicking on it, or by alt-tabbing (let me know if this still happens, I may have fixed it)
- Your hand can crumple up if both hands go to touch the same thing for the first time. To fix this just move both hands away from the character for a bit and it should stop happening
- Browser doesn't launch when hitting authenticate, or refuses to connect: Try running in admin mode or setting a different browser to default temporarily
Common Solutions to Game Issues
These are common solutions to many problems, ranging from the tongue not spawning to the game not launching in VR, or the game not authenticating. Try these out first if you're having issues, they work surprisingly often. If they don't work, message me and I'll be glad to help.
- Right click on verifyintegrity.ps1 and select 'Run with PowerShell' to validate your files. If this fails, redownload the game. The download got corrupted.
- Running the game as admin
- Make sure an antivirus isn't messing with Heat
- Adding the game as a non-steam game then running from within SteamVR (if not working in VR)
- If you're using Oculus and the game doesn't launch in VR, sit in launch SteamVR about 30seconds early then run the game from within SteamVR
- Reinstall/validate SteamVR
- Update video drivers
- Clicking on the game window with your mouse when the game is open then putting on your VR headset (if the laser doesn't work)
- Make sure the game isn't installed within any folders that have winky faces or other unusual characters in them
- Restart the game

It would be great to have a binding for the head vertical offset. Currently, you can change it in the general settings, however, I would like to be able to control it with a button. The reason is that some people don't have a proper VR headset and use VRidge to simulate it - you can use your phone to receive the stream via WiFi and separate lenses like Samsung Gear VR or a cardboard headset. Since the phone's accelerometer doesn't detect your position in space, just the rotation, you're stuck in one position in the game. Of course, thanks to VRidge you can simulate horizontal movement (WSAD), but you can't change the vertical position of your head. The way I solved this was using CheatEngine and searching for the memory address that contains the vertical head position - I can bind hotkeys to increase or decrease it. Unfortunately, I have to do this every time I launch the game, which is troublesome. It would be awesome if I could bind the "head offset increase/decrease" option to a button on my simulated Vive controller, like it's possible with "Snap right", "Snap left", "Open UI", "Toy cum" etc. An alternative would be to add an option that enables 2D controls even when the game runs in VR.

You have stick drift on your controllers. You can change this in the bindings menu by increasing the deadzone on the control sticks

Hi, just wanna say I have a problem with the game, in VR my view is always going slowly forward, I'm using an Acer windows virtual reality headset and this only happen in heat. (Already tried redoing binds, disconnecting controllers and reseting them)

Love it! But i have a Problem since the last two Updates. After some time the "Pointer Line" disappears and i have to guess where my Controller is pointing at. After a Restart it works normal until it happend again after some time. I use HTC Vive. Did somebody else have this Problem too? Btw would love to see some Watersports maybe added sometime? <3 :3

I'd really love to see something similar to how the glory hole characters thrust. That way each character can just use your mouth without you having to move. Or, thrust in your hand if you give them a handjob.

Really need to add the ability for a controller to control height instead of just adjusting height in the menu. Wouldn't need teleport anymore at that point. Adjusting height in the menu and having teleport on the controller is extremely cumbersome. Literally my only complaint. Everything else is done exceptionally well.
