Heat 0.3.7.1 Milestone - Two Character Spawning and posing, Emmy Foreskin/Atlas donut, Optimizations
🕑 Added 2022-04-29 23:47:48 +0000 UTCReally glad to finally have a working foreskin in the game! It's something I've wanted for Emmy for a long time, and I think it looks fantastic. We've also given Atlas a proper donut!
The much more impressive feature, and the one that took the most work is spawning two characters in the scene. We had to do some pretty massive rewrites since the game never had proper support for two characters in the world, and as usual with Atlas, we had to write a ton of custom code to handle his massive dong to allow it to penetrate other characters without sending their assholes into orbit.
You can now spawn two characters in a scene and pose them how you wish. Use the radial menu to control things like hipthrust for the characters. They'll suck eachother off as well if hipthrust is off for the receiver. You can also line them up with another character's orifice. Press 'I' on the keyboard to make them hard instantly to make it easier.
Smaller changes include a "keep floppy" toggle for Atlas in the radial menu, a heartbeat range toggle for cardiophiles, and quick buttons for player scale. We've also made some optimizations, particularly to the penetrable toy. It should no longer spazz out when on Atlas, and should be more performant overall.

How to run Heat(Remember you need SteamVR to run the game in VR, and 7zip(recommended) or WinRAR to unpack it.)
New Patrons: Patreon is really slow at the beginning of the month and may take a few hours to acknowledge you're a patron for the authentication. Patreon is not updating a handful of user's pages and is failing to auth even after a long time. If you can't auth, try relogging into Patreon. If it still doesn't work, go into your Patreon profile and change any setting, such as your Patreon name or pledge privacy setting to force Patreon to update your profile. The auth should work after that. If it doesn't message me on Discord or Patreon.

WMR
WMR controls change depending on the model, and some actions may be unbound entirely. You can see/edit your bindings by going to the settings in the SteamVR overlay and adjust the bindings and add any missing actions there.
For 2D:
- ESC: Close/move menu
- WASD: Move
- P/L: Switch between VR mode and 2D mode
- Q/E or Ctrl/Space: Move up and Down
- TAB: Open Radial Menu
- N: Extend tongue/kiss
- M whilst holding toy: Shoot
- Click: Grab something when the cursor lights up green
- R/F and Z/X: Rotate item in hand
- Mouse Wheel: Move object away or towards the camera
- Mouse: Rub something when the hand moves in Debug Keys:
- I: Make character erect
- C: Make character climax
The 2D interactions are still experimental and limited, but hopefully still enjoyable :)

Known Issues
- Laser might not register with UI sometimes, possible fixes are: Game restart, by setting the game window to focus by clicking on it, or by alt-tabbing (let me know if this still happens, I may have fixed it)
- Browser doesn't launch when hitting authenticate, or refuses to connect: Try running in admin mode or setting a different browser to default temporarily
Common Solutions to Game Issues
These are common solutions to many problems, ranging from the tongue not spawning to the game not launching in VR, or the game not authenticating. Try these out first if you're having issues, they work surprisingly often. If they don't work, message me and I'll be glad to help.
- Right click on verifyintegrity.ps1 and select 'Run with PowerShell' to validate your files. If this fails, redownload the game. The download got corrupted.
- Running the game as admin
- Make sure an antivirus isn't messing with Heat
- Adding the game as a non-steam game then running from within SteamVR (if not working in VR)
- If you're using Oculus and the game doesn't launch in VR, sit in launch SteamVR about 30seconds early then run the game from within SteamVR
- Reinstall/validate SteamVR
- Update video drivers
- Clicking on the game window with your mouse when the game is open then putting on your VR headset (if the laser doesn't work)
- Make sure the game isn't installed within any folders that have winky faces or other unusual characters in them
- Restart the game

Porting directly to Quest is a much more complicated task than a simple compiler change. There would be several issues with the physics system they would have to rework just to let it run at all, as well as the input system.

Can we get an .apk version of the game for those with a terrible pc? I can side load onto the quest with little graphics they don’t have to be great but I’d like to at least play it before I start spending money on a rig for it

So I extracted the files but every time I try to start the game it gives me an error message saying "The code execution cannot proceed because UnityPlayer.dll was not found." How would i fix this?

When using the micro/macro to resize yourself, am I the only one who ends up clipping though the bed instead of being able to stand on it, or Am I missing something? Also how do you enable Teleport movement, When small it would work much better than locomotion to get on the bed.

This might be super anoying but is there going to be an option to turn teleportation off? I have reaaally bad stick drift on oculus quest 1 and i constantly teleport because the game thinks im pushing forward . Furthermore this is the best furry porn game ever , and you guys work sooo so hard !

I've been having issues making a fist or pointing in VR (hands stay flat unless gripping character or object). I'm using a Samsung Odyssey+ (WMR) and have tried all of the troubleshooting methods listed at the bottom of the post. Aside from not being able to finger or fist, everything else seems to work fine.

My controllers dont show up anymore, worked fine in all previous versions but cant play in VR :( Playing on original oculus with link cable.

This is pretty great, one issue I noticed is that the little radial menu that has things like toggle hip thrust, climax, etc. often only shows up for one character. Unless I go to single character mode, make sure I open that menu for the first character, and then get the second one loaded, because otherwise it's only the one for the second char? Also personally the "stay floppy" thing is the **opposite** of what I really wanna see, you wouldn't believe how many times I get "angry" at these jerks when I adjust something for 5 seconds without touching them and they're like "looks like I'm not needed, time to go fully flaccid", like get these boys some pills for that! Or a simple global toggle or slider. D;

Was not expecting Riley to burst into what looks like nuclear fission when changing poses. Their dick seems to get partially stuck out of bounds which causes major lighting bugs unless you have the cage on. Loving the update otherwise <3

Amazing work, guys. Really liking this new update, the spot fixes, and I'm surprised at how quickly it's come out. A sign of a dedicated dev team, for sure. One suggestion though, the possibility of saving poses for both active characters together, even those outside of pose 2, since we can now have two characters interacting? I don't know, I just think it'd be cool.
