Heat 0.4.4.2 Milestone - Modding, Female Player Body

A female playerbody based on Aurora has beed added. We'll be adding the other characters as player body bases in the future as well.
This is the first release of modding, and it currently supports adding new dildos and retexturing characters. Arbitrary objects and code can also be added, but there's no official support for it in the game yet.
You will need to download the Unity editor to mod the game, version 2019.4.40f1, and create a new project with the '3D' template. Then import the .unitypackage with the download link below. The rest of the instructions are available in the pdf included in the modding project.
You'll need to join the discord to download, share and discuss mods. For the time being we have to use Discord to distribute mods. To join the discord, link your Discord with Patreon and you'll automatically be added.
If you're an experienced modder, please let us know what you think of the implementation. We don't have much experience with making games moddable, so I'm unsure if we've done it well. We've also recently discovered a much better way of doing code modding, so we'll be migrating the current system to use that soon.

How to run Heat(Remember you need SteamVR to run the game in VR, and 7zip(recommended) or WinRAR to unpack it.)
New Patrons: Patreon is really slow at the beginning of the month and may take a few hours to acknowledge you're a patron for the authentication.

Oculus/Index:
- B: Menu
- A: Radial Menu
- Thumbstick press: Kiss/Lick
- Left Joystick: Move

Vive:
I've completely run out of buttons on this thing so you may need to customize the controls in the SteamVR overlay. If you have any suggestion on how best to bind everything, let me know on Discord please.
- That weird button close to the pad: Menu
- Grip: Shoot w/ toys
- Bottom of touchpad: Kiss/Lick
- Left Touchpad: Move
- Sides of Right Touchpad: Rotate
- Top of Touchpad whilst holding toy: Radial Menu
WMR
WMR controls change depending on the model, and some actions may be unbound entirely. You can see/edit your bindings by going to the settings in the SteamVR overlay and adjust the bindings and add any missing actions there.
For 2D:
- ESC: Close/move menu
- WASD: Move
- P/L: Switch between VR mode and 2D mode
- Q/E or Ctrl/Space: Move up and Down
- TAB: Open Radial Menu
- N: Extend tongue/kiss
- M whilst holding toy: Shoot
- Click: Grab something when the cursor lights up green
- R/F, Z/X, T/G: Rotate item in hand
- Mouse Wheel: Move object away or towards the camera
- Mouse: Rub something when the hand moves in Debug Keys:
- I: Make character erect
- C: Make character climax

Known Issues
- Laser might not register with UI sometimes, possible fixes are: Game restart, by setting the game window to focus by clicking on it, or by alt-tabbing (let me know if this still happens, I may have fixed it)
- Browser doesn't launch when hitting authenticate, or refuses to connect: Try running in admin mode or setting a different browser to default temporarily
Common Solutions to Game Issues
These are common solutions to many problems, ranging from the tongue not spawning to the game not launching in VR, or the game not authenticating. Try these out first if you're having issues, they work surprisingly often. If they don't work, message me and I'll be glad to help.
All issues (try these first):
- Right click on verifyintegrity.ps1 and select 'Run with PowerShell' to validate your files. If this fails, redownload the game. The download got corrupted.
- Make sure the game isn't installed within any folders that have winky faces or other unusual characters in them
- Restart the game and your computer
Auth issues:
- If you have a localhost error in your browser, press the auth trouble button below the authenticate button and follow the directions exactly.
- Check "use alternate port" below the authenticate button
- Run the game as admin
- Make sure an antivirus isn't messing with Heat
- Make sure game is let through firewall
- Set a different browser to default temporarily
- Disable adblocker temporarily
- Disable any security that could prevent your computer from opening a socket and accepting a connection temporarily
VR issues:
- Adding the game as a non-steam game then running from within SteamVR (if not working in VR)
- If you're using Oculus and the game doesn't launch in VR, launch SteamVR and sit in it for about 30 seconds then run the game from within SteamVR
- Reinstall/validate SteamVR and Oculus software
- Update video drivers
- Clicking on the game window with your mouse when the game is open then putting on your VR headset (if the UI laser doesn't work)

Noticing issues: Aurora having broken vagina; caused by physics, Playerbody auto-thrust getting locked to odd side to side movement instead of forwards and back, Movement is difficult without trackers; Playerbody seems to get stuck in specific directions if lingered too long.

Are there any plans to implement a more robust FBT calibration system in the future? The feet are very dependent on having your trackers in a specific place and orientation which doesn't necessarily work with all types of trackers and straps. Would be cool to see the calibration process take offsets into consideration the way vrchat and other applications do. Keep up the good work!

Anyone else with an Oculus having an issue where the fingers stop working when you turn off FullBody Mode? I'm just knocking stuff around with my frozen hands.

I will have to redownload and test again because I downloaded and played before the link was updated, but I was running into an issue where Garrett's model textures were missing. All I was getting was the mesh with canine genitalia selected. With humanoid genitalia, his model textures were there except his mane which remained missing. (It's worth mentioning there were no texture issues for me in the last build) I didn't run into any other texture issues. *However*, and this made me laugh: When making the canine dildo cum while not being locked or held, the cum would make the dildo fly. I managed to lodge the canine dildo into the shower's ceiling. Not sure if that was my settings or what, but it would be pretty funny if there was a gravity setting so you could recreate that at will. Plus you know... variable fluid dynamics.

Weird the thing with the eyes has been happening pretty regularly to me, I don't even know what specifically I'd be doing differently / "wrong" to cause it. Maybe I can investigate some circumstances or ways to trigger it, will have to check. Actually I'm guessing _some_ of the time spent with eyes closed is most likely intentional and it just all together seems weird to me when I get to a situation where I'm thinking "Okay you clearly turned your head to *look* at me, do you ever plan on opening your eyes though" x')

Their eyes close as they get more aroused. If their eyes are closed when completely flaccid, tell us how to recreate the issue and we can look into it. I don't think her titties got any bigger, but maybe there's a bug with the slider

Oh nice, I tried out 0.4.3.2 just the other day and it's cool to see that things like controller-relative movement and controller-as-waist have fixes in here, seems to address a lot of things I was about to ask about :D One thing I gotta ask about, is it considered a bug / a known bug that characters close their eyes seemingly indefinitely rather often? Like, really unnatural behavior with eyes closed, like going back to and entirely relaxed state or being spawned in a different pose, even turning their head to face me, but eyes closed... I wish there was a "reset" for the eyes or at least that "respawning" the same character would consistently fix the eyes :/ And one smaller question, did Marina's default boobs get bigger? Maybe when the boob size slider was added? I could swear they used to not be as big, and personally now even the lowest setting on boob size & chubbiness is too big for my taste on her in particular D:
