Episode 340 Discussion: The Prank

Well, we never saw Sirius apologize.... I love him, but that was a terrible thing. I suppose we could blame his upbringing, I mean, look at this parents but Jo herself said in her Harvard speech that there's an expiration date on blaming our parents for your bad choices. I think they had a rocky relationship, mistakes were made in both parts and both were too stubborn and immature to acknowledge them later. I mean, Snape was no saint....he treated his students poorly.
On the subject of forgiveness, I noticed that I tend to look at both sides of the issue and give both characters some benifit of the doubt. When people involved are a work of fiction. Real people? Not as much. And my husband is complete opposite. He is still adamant that Ron is an irredeemable asshole for leaving Harry and Hermione in the Deathly Hallows book. But he's pretty tolerant of real people making mistakes :) Just wonder what it says about us as people.
