A Few Last Previews
🕑 Added 2024-08-05 22:23:45 +0000 UTCWith the exception of a couple of last bits, the mini-update is ready to roll out! I'll be putting those finishing touches during the week with a view to releasing on Friday. Time to get excited!
I have also perfected the new image compression technique, achieving 90-95% ratios on the game's art assets with no noticeable loss. The reasons that matters are 1) that it means I can cut a lot more corners with image optimisation which should speed things up a lot with the next update, 2) The size of the game will shrink rather than grow over the next few updates as I continue to roll it out (it definitely isn't happening to over 4000 images in the space of one update!) and 3) if I can also solve the FOSSIL problem, it potentially puts an Android version back on the table down the line.
But anyway, I promised you previews, so here we go!
Miss Whorle isn't the only new character to join us in this update. Say hello to Jenna, Emma's progenitor mother, who you'll be meeting in the first of her new scenes. A powerful and high-flying lawyer, Jenna is a dominant, no-nonsense figure and was one of Missy's early teenage fantasies.
She takes no shit from her bratty and entitled daughter and of course those red ribbons don't intimidate her in the slightest. You'd better watch your manners around her!
Missy naturally finds herself undressed again here. Wonder where Emma's taking her?
Whatever it was, looks like the two of them both ended up getting punished. Such is life in Sapphory!
I'll skip beta testing with the mini-update as most of it is easy enough to test myself. I may be selling a hostage to fortune, but we'll find out on Friday. I'll be back for the public update on Wednesday, but other than that, it'll be mini-update-o-clock next!

No, but I put some dialogue in with her explaining her take on Missy's case. Just talk to her once you gain access to Emma's house.

Lol, I like your way better than the actual canon explanation ^^ which is that divorce rates are very low in Sapphory due to its relentless focus on family values. Marriage is rather like it was here in the past, a commitment that's taken seriously and not easily broken. Girls don't gain their adult rights until they're 25 so there is no marrying young and regretting it. When it does happen, it's something of a scandal, and there's a real danger that any under-25 offspring will be removed from both women as they're seen as unfit parents. In this specific instance, none of that applies as there is a second mother, and we'll be meeting her soon too ^^

Hi Trinian, thi looks great! As you only mention one mother here, I have a general question about Sapphory: How does the divorce process work, especially, when there are children involved? Who gets custody of these girls? Is it a spank off? Who can spank harder and therefore is obviously the more skilled parent? Who is willing to be spanked hardest, to prove their commitment? Or is it just a boring court proceeding, so people like Emma's mom can buy a third house?

Oh seeing as she is a lawyer a few questions just came to me. Was she involved in Missy's case? If yes, did this drive Emma away by her mom giving Missy more attention during the case?
