ASOIAF - new one shot - As Princess Arianne is Prince Doran's second child, she and her husband, Prince Daemon, have few prospects of their of own and so set out to carve out their own kingdom. After laying waste to the Dothraki, they are approached by emissaries from Patrimony of Hyrkoon. The warrior women believe that Daemon is their hero king reborn and seek to pledge themselves to him, to be used however he sees fit. Both Daemon and Arianne accept their offer immediately.
ASOIAF - new story - Famed general of the Braavosi Republic, Jon Snow, chases a rebel general all the way to the once-proud kingdom of Valyria. Upon learning that his quarry has already been killed by the Valyrian court, he grows incensed and decides to deal with the obnoxious boy-king, Aegon II and his lickspittles. Using the excuse of Valyria’s debts to Braavos, Jon sticks around long enough to learn that Aegon has chased his older sister-wife away from the capital and supplanted her. He quickly realizes that there is an obvious solution to the problem, one made all the more enticing by this Rhaenya Targaryen’s beauty.
ASOIAF - crack one shot - On the eve of her wedding to Drogo, Daenerys gets drunk and explores the manse, stumbling into Illyrio's treasure room. Finding a scuffed lamp, she polishes it with her dress and is shocked when a man pops out and offers her a wish. Convinced she's had way more wine than she thought, she blurts out the first thing that occurs to her: "I want you to bring back and bond me to the greatest dragon that ever lived; the...hic...the black...something...the big one!" When she wakes the next morning with a terrible headache, something made worse by all the screaming outside, she takes one look at the dragon terrorizing Pentos and two thoughts occur to her: "He is much bigger than Viserys described him and why do I think his name is Ancalagon?" Yes. I was rewatching Rome when I realized that the relationship between Cleopatra and Ptolemy could work perfectly for Rhaenyra and Aegon, with Jon being part Caesar, part Antony.
