Charge Up Front Patreon Account
🕑 Added 2018-08-01 21:10:23 +0000 UTC Monthly Patreon accounts like mine can now become “Charge Up Front” accounts. It means that new Patrons will be billed for the first time on the day they join. It doesn’t affect previous Patrons like all of you.I’m thinking about switching to that type of account. Is everyone alright with that? Hmm... no problem for me. Anyway, if you do not try it, you will not know if it suits you. If this system does not work in your case, you can always go back to the old one, I thing.

Correct, I'm not sure how many people actually do that but I would like to prevent it.
I like this, this protects the creator. reading this "Patrons will not be able to sample patron-only content. Some Patrons have been able to become a patron of a monthly creator to check out the content, then delete their pledge before they are charged at the beginning of the month. With charge up front enabled, only paying patrons can view your "patron only" content."
So this method will show only real patrons without simulators. Even this post had cut out some of them. It's not popular, but must be done. My opinion.
