LARP Concept
🕑 Added 2020-02-18 16:05:27 +0000 UTCHi guys. This isn’t something I want to code for the next release, more of an idea that’s brewing in my mind, and I’d like your opinion on it. Would it be fun to have a LARP (Live action role-playing) club within the Bondage Club?
I often get requests on adding more RPG elements to the game, but I’m not sure how to do it or if it would be actually fun. For me, the Bondage Club is a social game before a character-building game, but here’s the idea:
- Add a new room for LARP within the club with a “game master” in the room. Maybe it could replace the kidnappers league.
- The game master will allow the player to join the LARP game and select a class that would be somewhat BDSM themed (Some examples: Slave owner, Trainer, Kidnapper, Trader, Escape artist, Protector, Free girl, Runaway Slave, Slave)
- Each class could have certain advantages or disadvantages in kidnapping matches or in using restraints / escaping. The kidnapping matches would need to be improved quite a bit.
- The player could gain levels in her class and unlock new skills, maybe gain unique items for that class.
- The game could be played single player, where you go on rescue/kidnapping/training/trading/spying missions to gain levels, money & reputation, facing NPCs.
- It could also be played in multi player, where you get similar missions, but the targets would be online players. Examples: go kidnap X player, go rescue Y player, go protect Z player, etc.
- Special online chat rooms could be created for LARP players with an online kidnapping game that they can play with each other. Maybe have a health system where you need to wait before kidnapping again, some classes could heal others somehow (maybe maids could do that).
- You could join a group (some kind of guild system) and represent that group with unique clothing. There could be rivalries between groups and bondage wars. Maybe have small privileges for the top group. Alliances and betrayals and could be fun, turning the tables.
- Another possibility: players could roleplay super-heroes like Wonder-Woman, Supergirl or Harley Quinn. Vampires, witches or werewolves could also be a thing, I know that furries and fantasy stuff is popular. Bondage spells could be fun.
The LARP system would imply that everyone follows the rules when they are in a LARP room, and accept to roleplay their wins and their loses fairly.
What do you think? Is there a fun concept in there? Would you participate in such a game?

I've been looking forward to multiplayer battles for a long time but this idea is so huge! I wish Bondage Club would grow the size of WoW one day. Daily missions, raids, guilds, economic system. That would be a game I would never want to leave^^

Hi, Everything about what you just said looks really awesome, a bit of surprises and random thing to happen looks fun! Looks like a lot of codding. Maybe to test things and to test how well it goes you'd like to add some fearures times to times. If so the "tiltte" that change the capabilities of someone (Slave, Guard, Bard) to bound or escape could be nice, and the online missions should be pretty fun aswell,
There is a question about MMORPG, some player's too strong by their chater's skill and staute and item, not by their real artifice. How about chess? People will get new test skill an item to play a new game, and lost it when they finished the game. Of course, they can not use them in anoter place.

Would I love it? Absolutely! But it would be a HUGE endeavor. If you really want to do this, I highly recommend looking into some of the other DiD/Sexy RPGs that have come out, such as Trials in Tainted Space, Corruption of Champions, DiDNapper, and others. In particular, I recommend looking into Nabber's Empire, an online community with a similar premise, though somewhat limited; there's an RP system built into the game with the idea of players being divided into 'Villains' and 'Damsels'. I'd recommend taking a broader approach though, since one complaint many in the community have is how difficult switching is.

Only do this if you have a solid plan of implementing it, as it sounds like it could rapidly become complex and tedious to fix problems with due to all the inter-relating mechanics. If you do though, I would be absolutely ecstatic at such an addition!

It sounds really cool! My only concern would be that this is a lot of stuff and I don't want you to shift too much attention away from the rest of the club, and I don't want you to overextend yourself.
