Well they can be assured they do not have to worry that the tower lords would try to harm them. because there is a 100% chance the tower lords would try to harm them. The tower lords knowing magic before becoming tower lords speaks against their capabilities. That means they had a head start. Of course you knew that you untrustworthy author.

Hmm, I think having a ranged option could be good. I think having leaders will be very important but right now having range would allow so many bees to attack at once. Though having both would probably be best for coordinating the range and melee bees

It's too late, they've had a taste. Who knows what depravities go through the minds of non bees or to what lengths they will go for honey? At least the king can use the bounty of the bees to control the honey thieves
