Bumblebee soldiers are definitely tsnk material, holding the frontline so that the rest of the hive can dish out some serious punishment.

Thanks for the chapter, loved it. Yay, drone found a way to be useful. He is the joiner, one who will link all the hives within the hive of hives. I'm glad, the little guy nearly brought me to tears earlier. Lol. The monster bumblebees are so cool. If the soldiers are gonna be big enough to go toe to toe with the shades then the lancers are gonna be even bigger, maybe big enough to carry belissar? Can we have a bee cavalry? Belissar, and the chief on the top of lancers sending magic against the shades. Would be so cool. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Maybe in the future efforts will be made to have Drones survive mating so that they can help adjust their mate's hive mana flow and tie it into the flow of the hive of hives.
