This is going off the rails, but at the same time, this getting interesting. Seems like he has some sort of story to tell. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a Asgore situation, with him having to fake being touch to keep everyone hating humanity, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just him genuinely being a jerk. Also, loved that small moment when he was like “Oh! Did she get her present?” That was honestly kind of adorable

Looking forward to see his side of the story. In the best case, he'll teach her dynastic power politics (which were particularly harsh in Japan), in the worst case, we learn something about Emiko that we didn't know before.
