2023 Important Update - The Big Move
🕑 Added 2023-01-05 23:07:17 +0000 UTCHappy New Year, everyone! I intended to post this over a week ago, but I've been crazy busy. I've always wanted to be a very transparent content creator, keeping you guys updated on what is going on in my life. Over the last few years my life has felt very stagnant and I think some of that has surfaced in my content. I've wanted a big change for a while and now I'm about to get it.
I'll be moving from New York to Seattle in a few days by myself. I have no family or friends there, so it's both exciting and terrifying. I've wanted to live in the Pacific Northwest ever since I was a kid. Now that I'm in my 30s, have the flexibility of working from home, with nothing but family tying me down to NY, it's now or never -- a leap of faith. I'm out of the old apartment and at my parent's place with all my stuff in boxes. I'll be heading out in a rental SUV on a 42hr drive starting the 9th and arriving in Seattle the night of the 14th.
A lot of you don't know it, but this is my primary source of income and last year was supposed to be my "go for it year" as I quit my previous job. If anything, I found my output even worse. I couldn't focus, I had no drive or motivation, and I never got to implement things like Twitch streaming, gaming streams, podcasting, ect. that I had always planned. My Youtube growth stalled to a halt because I couldn't remain consistent, and Patron numbers wavered, which really adds lots of stress. I am fully confident this new start will instill a new life within me, making 2023 my year.
I appreciate so many of you supporting me throughout a year in which I was severely lacking, as well as this tumultuous time of transition where I can't upload any content. If I am to make this viable for myself, I need to up my Patreon numbers and find alternate sources of supplemental income like Twitch. I think we'll be able to accomplish that in 2023 once I am settled.
I've always said that I've needed more structure for both myself and the output of my content so you guys know what to expect. I know I'm capable, I've just needed a change in scenery to give my life an adrenaline shot.
Thank you all so, so much for your support and good faith in me. I'm filled with lots of anxious optimism for what a new city will bring.

I get that, I moved to the other side of the country too back in 2013. There's nothing to be gained from letting things stagnate though, it'll just drive you more crazy the longer it goes on.

Good Luck and all the best! you must be so excited and scared/nervous all at the same time. Nothing beats making that leap of faith and stepping outside of your comfort zone to reinvigorate your plans etc so really well done for being brave and talking that step forward, just know the community and more importantly your family is there for you if you ever get tired or exhausted and need someone to talk to :) I'll be waiting for when i can up my tier and get requests in so take your time and looking forward to see your growth.

I'll have my anxious little kitty with me so I don't think I can. I'll be 45m away from Mt Rushmore at one point. Plus Deadwood SD is where the HBO show Deadwood takes place. An old western town with casinos!

This isn't the exact route I'll be taking, though I think I'll be going through WI for a bit. I'm taking the route through SD instead of ND. My hotel stays will be outside of Toledo OH, Rochester MN, Deadwood SD, and Missoula MT. If any of you know about these places lmk haha. They're fully refundable so I could always change plans.
